German boy, 14, struck by meteor, lives.
What a dumb article. It didn't even say what kind of super powers the kid got.
A red hot, pea-sized piece of rock then hit his hand before bouncing off and causing a foot wide crater in the ground.
If it went for his hand, maybe the "meteorite" was a power ring, seeking him out.

Let's see how he now reacts to the color yellow.

Haaaa ha ha ha!
In brightest day, in blackest night,
Oooh, that's why it's called
Blackest Night.
Well, I have lived in New Orleans for Christmas. And actually, should be there this year.
It seems like it would be low-key but historical and awesome.
Daniel yeah it's kinda WTF but the thing is some of the added people plus a couple of the people in my department (including my boss) are all really good friends and hang out a lot outside of work.
I probably haven't been as social as I could have, but, they are nice people but not my people. Especially considering there are issues of intolerance that I find hard to tolerate in the work place.

Chances are you will not be snowed-in and miserable, at least.
The French Quarter Festival does stuff in the Quarter. [link]
City Park has a light festival called Celebration in the Oaks.
There's also a good chance that I'll be singing Christmas carols in a quartet somewhere in the city.
Google Translate renders it:
Im hellsten Tag in schwärzesten Nacht,
nichts Böses wird entkommen meine Augen Lassen Sie diejenigen,
die Anbetung des Bösen könnte,
Vorsicht meiner Macht ... Green Lantern's Licht!
And Babelfish:
Am hellsten Tag in der schwärzesten Nacht,
entgeht kein Übel meinem Anblick ließ die,
die evil's konnte,
meine Energie aufzupassen… Grünes Lantern's-Licht!
Grünes Lantern
You know, when I used to watch the Batman cartoon on German TV, "Der Fliedermausmann" never failed to crack me up.
