I just re-watched Labyrinth last week. I did a movie unit with my 6th graders the last few days of school and one of them is a HUGE Labyrinth fan. I had it, so when the class voted on their choice of movie, they voted for it and we watched it. I had 2 boys get up and dance during every song. Too cute.
Isn't Nostalgia Girl awesome?
Yes! I just watched that. She is awesomecakes.
Figs!
askye, God. Any chance the receptionist's name is Flip?
I woke today all gronkified. You see, 5 days with ~5 hours of sleep in them, with a Hell Lot of Academic Work in between was getting me there.
And then I saw the Labyrinth thing. I didn't know Nostalgia Girl before, but now I'm convinced she's my lost... something. Not sister, because I'm not that nostalgic, but she is my lost something (sock?) and I'll leave it at that.
OK, Nostalgic girl looks real familiar. Where do I know her from?? BTW, that was AWESOME! Thanks Pix for linking it.
Shir, get some rest, would ya! {{{ shir }}}

Janeane Garofalo's early work?
I'm hanging with the entire family and it's been a little rough. Last night I went overboard with the limoncello. Oof, feeling rough.
Poor d, whole family can be too much.
d - glad you made it all safe, and after the move and the unpacking and the trip, a little lot of limoncello is I think, due.
Hands up if you think that woman trying is trying to mess with Askye's head with the garbage bag thing. Grr. Good luck with the apartment.
Stephanie - much calm~ma and moving~ma.
Still laughing at the swing posts and the cherry muffin posts.
Sparky - getting in to work and being on time when you have a new baby at home? I think one or the other, but not both. Do you need or want anything?
Raq - how's Mal doing today?
I suddenly need to go get goat cheese, figs, and prosciutto. But I am also trying to rein in our food bill.
Raq - how's Mal doing today?
He's okay. He definitely has the swine flu, which is making me think R does as well (and I know they both had flu shots). Mal's daycare called yesterday afternoon to say that they have a confirmed case of the swine flu, so I would guess that's where Mal got except for the fact that R got sick first.
But of course R teaches big classes full of people coming in from all over the world.
Anyway, this means that we aren't going to the daycare graduation today (I don't even know that they are going to have it). It also means that R and I celebrated our 18th anniversary yesterday with Gatorade and saltines.
But when Mal's no longer contagious and can be babysat, we're going to have dinner here: [link]

Oh Raq, that's terrible. Hope your family feels well soon.
I'm still hungover. It sucks. Blech.
I introduced my brother to MCR.
