Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

'Why We Fight'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

i'm sure that I'm not the only one who did a double take there, right?

Over here we talk about 'swing' without adding the 'dancing' part. "I went to my swing lesson" says my mum. I'm sure she almost always means dance...

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

... wait.

There are lessons?

Wow.

My mother takes lessons in swing, jive and... um... something else. (Me, not so good with the dancing. I tend to stop listening when she starts going on about it. This may be bad.)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Yay for good T news, sj!

Also, I don't think I wished a quick recovery to Mr. Peabody. Poor little guy. I'm glad he has you, Ginger.

Amazing thunderstorm going on. Also much hail, which is not so awesome.

Coding and Sleeping

There was a thunderstorm here too. Lots of hail at the house, no hail at the office.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This is a freaky storm.

Thrive to spite them

~doggie ma for Ginger and Mr. Peabody and some anti~ma for whoever burned him.

I took ballroom lessons that included swing dancing but I was never good at it. I was always trying to turn into the hustle (the basic steps are the same just a different beat).

Also I have passed a milestone. Two weeks ago I started eating healthier, I've been checking out every diet book from the library and hit on Volumetrics. I read it and decide to follow that since it's the most sensible.

Not only is it the most sensible but this is the easiest thing I've ever done. Okay there is some meal prep involved and I haven't followed it as strictly. But today I wore a skirt I haven't been able to fit in for at least a year! It's not a size down or anything but my hips and waist are smaller.

Plus I've barely had any cravings for cookies, chocolate, or cake. I think it's all the fruit I'm eating. I thought I didn't like grapes but it turns out I like red ones and at work instead of wishing I had a cookie I'm thinking about coming home and eating sweet, juicy grapes.

I had half a chocolate chip cookie on Sunday and it was good and I'm glad I had it but I was happy with that. Instead of eating two. I'm not even focusing on losing weight I'm focusing on eating healthy and make better choices.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just made a not!Thai peanut sauce for dinner with almond butter, olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, and the juice of a lime. It was yum!

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

If life were like a Pelecanos novel, someone would gut-shoot the creep who burned Mr. Peabody...that's one of the things I love about the guy...his lack of patience with animal abusers and people who don't tip in restaurants. One character tried to stop Nick Stefanos from feeding his cat one time, and I thought to myself "Well, he's dead," and he was. Shot in the chest, if memory serves.
