Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think sugar, but much more sugar in the stronger colors that show the contrast.

What Vortex said.

Compassionately intolerant

What Vortex said.

Seconded.

“Not dead yet!”

What Vortex said, too.

'Ashes to Ashes' season two finale - just watched. Intrigue, and all that.

WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH-- We still haven't gotten S2 here, doggone it!

Trust my rage

I'm going to be in DC from the 9th, Lewis and kids included, then he goes back home after the weekend and I stay there until the 18th, I think, kids included, for my National conference.

This sounds cool. I just found out that we have to ship our car to Philadelphia (although actually somewhere in NJ), so I'm thinking now we will fly into Philly, go get our car, and drive up to DC around the 8th or 9th. So, we might miss Lewis, but we would love to see you and the kids while you are there.

eta: oh, and Joe checked and since the chip/crack is less than 2 inches, they will take it cracked.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Well, I actually got some cleaning done. Stymied a bit by the fact that the trash room is closed because they're refinishing the floor. Who refinishes the floor of a trash room? But I've got two loads of laundry going, I just brought about eight big cardboard boxes down to the dumpsters, and at least one more load of laundry going in soon.

Next step: clean the bathroom. Not looking forward to that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear, Stephanie and Raq, I'm sorry to hear you are both having Quite A Day.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Poor vw, who would have thunk a migraine specialist would be so inaccessible.

Raq, much getting-better~ma for Mal and the DH.

JZ, Vortex is right - those shoes are sugar, and super sugar in red and black. I can't make up my mind between the two of those, though.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, Hil, you're inspiring me. I have other work work to do, but it can wait and the house is a total wreck. I wonder what I can get done if I just do that all day?

Plus I might be having kids over tomorrow, so it should be at least reasonably presentable.
