Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Can someone send a cabana boy to make me tea and rub my back? TCG is at a meeting and I feel icky.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cabana boy to sj, stat!

Emeline is adorable.

I like the askye takes over askye's mom's house plan.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I occasionally have to deal with idiots and asshats at work, but I never have to deal with that from the guy who gives me most of my work. He's the single most understanding and generous boss I've ever had the pleasure to work for, and is easily one of the finest human beings I know. And for that I am eternally grateful.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I really wish I was going to F2F thisyear.

Me too.

Sean, if he's who I think it is, you clearly have understated the greatness of his heart.

Jilli, I think it's great thing to be proud of your book, and a tat is a great way to show that pride, but, the WWII history buff in me cringes at the thought of numbers tattooed on an arm (spoil font in case you don't want to read a small minor objection).

ION- Today is the final "Arts & Letters" segment. The museum hosts a short story reading. The rehearsal ran long, so they provided sandwiches and fruit for dinner, in the green room. I get back there, and grab a small plate from the pile, and one of the performers says, "I feel like a pig going for the big plate, but it looks good". I say "Oooh! They come in pints!" (in my best accent). The videographer almost chokes on his sandwich. "You are unabashedly showing off your geekness. First a comic book reference, then a Star Trek one, now a LOTR." Me: "Why should I hide who I am." Cute actress jumps in saying "I love LOTR!". It was great.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

some co-workers and I were wondering if there was a subculture of lazy goths that just wore black jeans and black t-shirts -- now, I have an answer.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm so glad that Vortex and NoiseDesign will be among Buffistae on Father's Day. I, too, wish I could be there. But I have every confidence that you will get all the love and hairpats and hugs that you want/need.

The other day, I made a four bean salad for supper at one of the group homes. Someone mentioned then that he knew of people who would put three or four bean salad into a blender and puree it, and use it for chip dip. I'd never heard of that before, but I think I might be willing to try it.
