Home from Bobby's graduation thing. It was really warm. As soon as he walked I did too. Joined the masses outside where it was cooler. When outside is cooler than inside in my area that is a bad thing. DH couldn't make it because he has a basketball tournament this weekend.
I asked Bobby about his yearbook since there are only 3 days left of school and he hasn't mentioned that stuff. He won't be getting one because you have to pay and order it now and then they mail it to you some time over the summer. Um, how do the kids sign each other's yearbooks that way?
The kids were cute and awesome, but the speakers, lame. Many ear hurting phrases including this one from the principal, "you have unlimited opportunities ahead of you and I expect you to achieve them." Then the AP told them how "you needs to continue to make" them proud. Granted, the heat was making me grumpy. If I ever speak to a crowd of students I promise to practice and use a prepared text authored much more carefully than happens here.
Oh, I just remembered another low point. One of the students played a beautiful piece on the piano and the AP decided we could hear it better if he stuck his microphone inside the piano which only muffled and distorted the sound. The student, made of awesome. The AP also first introduced her by her twin sister's name until the kids yelled out the right name. Duh.

Oy.
The hinges on several of the cabinets in my parents' kitchen are broken, so that, after you close a cabinet, it slowly opens by itself. I have no idea why this bothers me as much as it does. I keep wandering through the kitchen closing cabinets, and then a few minutes later, three of them are open again.
A/C~ma indeed! Been there. A/C is essential.
d, last time I moved with a cat she took off for 3 days and didn't come back until it rained. She just had to check out the new area. Much come home soon ~ma.
omg. OMG! O!M!G!!! The waiting is killing me!!!
(I hope this doesn't require opening lightbulbs)
Open Lightbulbs already so we can vote on the china pattern, dammit!
Don't jump the gun David! somethings have to have a certain order. I may be a naive male, but this thing is one of them.
Wow. Some serious family weirdness just came to the surface. My nephew was supposed to get married on July 4 (a day for marriages that I've already decided is cursed due to another couple I know who got married on that day that broke up less than two years later) I just found out that the marriage is off. These two have been together for years, but have always had issues on where they wanted to live, and, once they decided on getting married, totally waffled on the whens and wheres. They'd sent out invitations for this and then tonight I found it was off.
I'm kinda in the "Whoa!!" zone right now. I'm also afraid I laughed inappropriately while talking to my brother both from the shock AND the non shock.

I cannot
believe
how naive you are to dismiss the importance of the china pattern and our right to vote on it. (Preferentially.)
