Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

There is a Thor movie in the works, to be directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Yep. With Chris Hemsworth, who played Daddy Kirk in the new Trek as Thor.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Doctor's appt. at 2:40 for UTI. That's 5 hours away. I stopped taking the AZO as of 11 p.m. last night, in case they needed a urine sample.

I am in PAIN. Fucking hell. I refuse to ask to go home from work because my pee-pee hurts.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Poor Teppy. Much getting-through-the-day~ma for you. Hope the doc puts you on something that works quickly and doesn't cause too much tummy trouble.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ugh, Teppy. I am pretty much a beast whenever I go in for a UTI - I am fully medicated with prescription AZO and am unrepentent about it if they need a sample. I demand a prescription for anti-biotics immediately regardless of test results. (It is always a UTI and I do not have time to mess around).

Hope 2:40 comes to you quickly!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Massage was ni-ice. 45 minutes of Anywhere But Here, Embodied. Blissful.

WindSparrow, thanks!

Steph L., ugh. UTIs are horrible. I hope the doctor gets it sorted for you.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

((Tep))

Hil - what they said.

It was fluffy white kittens and you dipped them into a swirling vat of permanent dye. The kittens did not enjoy this.

Fact: when I lived in Egypt, at Easter you would see shop window displays featuring real live bunnies, and real live shocking pink/green/blue/orange fluffy chicks. My first encounter with the existence of said chicks was when one wee girl brought in a pink one and a green one in a box for Show and Tell.

I was deprived of the power of speech for a long moment. Literally.

(No, the dyes were not animal-friendly or wash-out or anything. Duh. Egypt.)

So - today was my grandmother's funeral. Very weird, emotionally draining, but good, on the whole. Nice that quite a few people came. Weird for me, though - it was a Christian service 'cause my grandmother had been a Methodist, but none of us are Christian, and it felt very uncomforting and weird and false, really, listening to this bloke talking about Jesus. But she'd have liked it, so that was fair enough. But - weird.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Teppy}}

Today is an odd day. Stuff going on in all directions.

DH's Aunt's mother passed this morning. She was 98 and had a very good run. She was alert and receiving visitors at home up to yesterday. She had a full time Hospice nurse as they knew her time was nearing, but her mind was quite strong until the end. We hadn't seen her in a few months. RIP Little Grandma. All the cousins called her Little Grandma because she was about 4'9". No hugs needed; I don't think any of could have wanted more for her. She was ready.

Bobby was sick all weekend and had fever yesterday and today. Guilty mom here, again. I didn't pay any attention to his complaints on Sunday because I figured he was trying to get out of chores/homework. Monday we went to a family gathering with new babies and other kids and he didn't swim or hardly eat anything. Now teen boys can eat some serious quantities of food in a unlimited buffet family picnic setting so that was my first big clue. I say down next to him where he was curled on the loveseat and I could feel on my leg through his clothes and mine that he was Hot. Oops. Got a thermometer from my sister and he was 102.5. This is the last week of school so I wrote to his teacher to see what to do about his finals because they sure wouldn't want him there. Ugh.

And my main support person at the office is out because her grandchild is sick. But I am off to the doctor's office. Wish me something easy to fix for the kid.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That is a lot, Laura. I hope Bobby's got a quickly-over flu.
