Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

'Same Time, Same Place'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

I thought about that, and then I decided, hey, free wifi.

Oh, for DC-istas and others who live in tourist destinations: I recently discovered that tour buses offer wi-fi, and it slops over to nearby lanes of traffic. (Or presumably to the sidewalk when the buses are parked near State Dept.)

Some are locked, but not all. And when you are stuck in DC summer 66 or Beltway traffic, it's nice to make use of the millions of buses.

brillig

Teh best Mexican place around here is a family place called Diego's. You have to call ahead to make sure they still have enough chicken if you want something with chicken.

Edit: When Mom is working the register I occasionally have to use my pseudo-Spanish to order. "Pollo burrito, por favor," and she gives me a weird look, and I feel like a poseur. Then Hubby orders in German, just to be a jerk, and she gives him a nasty look. Hubby has issues with Spanish in America, which are not worth hours of arguments to counter. I tell him Mama probably thinks he's a neo-Nazi with family from Brazil, and he sulks.

Librarian Warlord

We are doing well - we're excited, Sass is excited - and figuring it out. Jeff just came back from a hike with the dog in Rock Creek Park, so she's flopped out on the lawn. I need to nurse the baby, and think about another nap.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

like a restaurant that specializes in Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches.

Dude, we have Butter.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We also have a restaurant that serves nothing but macaroni & cheese:

And rice pudding:

In London my BiL took us to a restaurant that only served hummus, but I don't remember the name well enough to Google.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Just as Cincinnati has cookies year-round, Durham has restaurants with multiple dishes.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

In London my BiL took us to a restaurant that only served hummus

Hummus Brothers? My other half is in love with that place. (I am anticpating a fight over whether all the catering for whatever kind of party ends up being our wedding can come from there.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

In Culver City, there is a grilled cheese restaurant called Meltdown that I really need visit.

I had no idea. Now I need to visit too.

We also have a restaurant that serves nothing but macaroni & cheese:

Oh dear. Now I need to go to New York. I love mac & cheese.

Speaking of, my son has a friend over & they had TJs mac & cheese for lunch. They split 1 container and asked for more! That's like 500 calories each for lunch. I have no idea what my son is doing with all that food he eats. I mean, he's growing, sure, but he isn't growing that fast.
