Oh, I wish those council guys would let me have an hour alone in the room with her, if I was larger and had grenades.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

You know, I realize it's hard when you only have one word to indicate that you want something, but it's equally hard to figure out the wanted item when there is only the one word followed by lots of shrieking.

I've had coworkers like that.

It's a lot more tolerable when it's a dog.

Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly "bit his tongue and would not let go." Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue.

Yeah, I'm sure that was it. Totally self defense. Anyone would have done the same. @@

Except the Slap Chop seems to have a "butterfly" opening

This isn't getting any less porny.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay, breastesses of Reason!

What she said.

If this weather keeps up, the likelihood I'll be able to see Mentalist, Dancing with the Stars, and Glee will be lessened considerably.

Silly Americans, voting for the cute little Olympic gymnast, instead of the OMGHawt French actor who really works the dance as sex metaphor.

Used spoiler-font in case some people haven't seen it yet, but will get the chance soon.

I took a long, much needed nap, and that has taken the edge off the pain. It still hurts, but I can move around without wincing.

I'm glad you got some relief, sj.

And, I have a 2nd job interview tomorrow morning. Yay!

Yay! and interview~ma for you, Chikat!

The status is NOT quo.

Wow, lots to catch up on here!

WELCOME to Babyfras! I'm very happy for Sparky and her DH and the little one. YAY!

WOOT on no cancer for Jilli! I am giddy at this news.

WOO HOO on second job interview for ChiKat!

YIPPEE on Barb's agent feedback!

sj, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, but I'm very sorry you and our other chronic pain sufferers have to deal with the pain in the first place.

Burrell, don't worry about the whole ADD thing. ND is right; even when I know logically that someone is kidding, I have a hard time joking about it when I'm in the midst of a bad patch like last night, which was why I disappeared for a bit. I appreciate your apology but really do understand that you didn't intend to be dismissive. I seem to be doing better tonight (I'm down to the final 5 essays and will finish them before I go to sleep), so I'm in a much better space. Tonight's reluctance is definitely typical dread rather than ADD avoidance, which makes the grading no less painful, but a lot less frustrating. You and I are certainly one in loathing grading in general. Ptui! We shall speak of it no more.

I think I had more to say, but the papers ate my brain.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am so glad I don't have to do any grading next year. (My teaching contract ran out, so I'm not going to be teaching at all next year, just working on my research so I can finally finish this degree.) I like teaching, but really hate grading. Webassign, for all its flaws (and it does have a lot), actually let me stop doing the rote grading this past semester, and focus more of my time on lesson planning, and also on grading a few things that actually required a human looking at it, rather than just a yes/no.

My sleep schedule has gotten so screwed up lately. I've been on way too many meds that either wake me up or put me to sleep, but they do it at all the wrong times, and I haven't had enough of a set schedule to avoid just sleeping when the meds made me sleepy, and now I've got to try to fix all that. I should be asleep within the hour. Let's see how well that works.

“Not dead yet!”

Silly Americans,

Aw, I was okay with the outcome. Even though yes, OMG HAWT Frenchman. I never got the Frenchman thing until Gilles.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm so pleased that Jilli's fine, and Aimee is fine and Babyfras is here.

It's good. I like the good news.

More please.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks for saying that, Kristin.

The status is NOT quo.

Of course, Burrell. We grading-haters need to stick together.

P.S. I have managed to take care of scads of other miscellaneous school business but have only gotten through one more paper in the last two hours. Somehow everything else just seemed so much more important interesting preferable.
