For makeup, maybe a paler foundation that usual, and dark smudgey eyeshadow?

Am worried about the ex. And wishing i knew what to say to her. She's super upset, obviously, and I can't tell her I love her and will fly out there and make it all better. I wish I could. She's just had a lot of shittiness in her life, and so doesn't need more...
