I suspect that there are Buffistas who could teach you the quad. form. better than any teacher you've had, and who would either help you care or, alternately, not really care if you didn't (but still help you pass the class, guilt-free).
Oh I know. Hil and Debet and P-C!! both have been invaluable to me during quizes and homework time, but I think this is one of those things that I need a human sitting with me to show me the steps.

Yes. All of those. Like I said, I can read it, I can DO it (mostly) but I'm finding that by not having a human being in front of me, I'm not learning ANY of the shortcuts, which is how I manage to get through math.

Emily was the first and only person to finally get me to get the quadratic formula. I would have NEVER made it through pre-calc without her. She probably wanted to shoot me, but oh dear me. She was a total god-send!

Sounds like my oldest sister, who, yonks ago "gave" me an old tv she and her then-hubby weren't using when I left a FAC and ventured out on my own ... and then when I moved to my current county, made me pay her the repair fee for work they'd had done on it before I left the FAC and moved to the area. Somehow it held water for her; like,
