Glamcoookie, that was an awesome note from your prof. Go you!
vw, good luck with a trip to the Mass Health offices. (has image in head of vw taking Cyster with her to the Mass Health offices, and Cyster growling at asshats)
Thanks. And I think I will. That would be great fun!
And you know what? if you did take Cyster/Little Orphan Annie and put it in a jar with eyes and a wig ... it'd be almost as creepy as that THING Nicole has from JZ.
At first I was going to say NO WAY, and I've seen Belinda (THE THING) in person. But...really....I'd be curious to check out Cyster in an odd "wow, a body can make that" sense, whereas I never wanted to see Belinda. EVER. And now I'm moving closer to her.
You didn't eat your twin, did you?
That was totally my first thought, too! And I thought it was cool... but then I thought it might be a little creepy and sad, too, so I'm glad it's not the case.
Jars, I was under the impression that renewals were faster IF your current passport hasn't expired. If it's expired, it might take longer.
This is key. I discovered that my passport was a day away from expiring...dashed to the passport office in the post office downtown and got it renewed in a day. Had I not, it would have gone very badly for me, so I am told.
Hey everyone! Timelies, Good Morning and Greetings to all. It's ME day. Or, rather, my 48th birthday. But more importantly, it is the 6th anniversary of Bartleby coming home from the shelter.
We are off for a good long walk in 75 degree, sunny weather. Along the way, we'll stop off at the pet store. All in all, a great start to a nice day.
And speaking of pooches...thanks for the update on Sass Sparky. We're thinkin' of ya.
Happy Birthday, bonny! Happy Bartleby Anniversary too!
"MY MONSTER. LET ME SHOW YOU IT."
Ok, this made me laugh so hard my eyeballs about fell. OUT.
Hee. Anyone else read Smart Bitches, and flash on the romance cover LOL snark: a giant shirtless, Fabio with a masterfully crooked finger with "MY HERPES: LET ME SHOW YOU IT."
Cause that's what I saw.
Thanks for all the words, My internet went wonky last night right as I was posting, and I couldn't get back on.
I know I'll want to be in my apartment soon after I get better, but I really don't think my folks would LET me stay by myself. (yes, I'm 35.) And I...kinda don't want to be alone. My mom and dad have a room for me, my sister works at Borders and will bring me tons of books, thr puppy will lay on my feet and lick my hand, and mom and dad will bring me hot tea with lemon to wash down the Percocet, and get all my scripts and bring in a TV and my sister has all the Buffy, Angel and Firefly DVDs.
I got two cats (who I WILL miss), a lumpy futon, and echoing solitude. I'ma goin' home. My friends will come and hang with the cats.
RE: postponing it if the test comes back ok...when my doc initially said surgery, I was all "Sure...anytime after June 3rd?" and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said she wanted to get it out ASAP, because of its size. If I was her sister, she would be counseling her to get it out ASAP even if it wasn't cancerous, cause if it bursts, it would be really not good.
Sorry to be all me, me, me -- I went into work today and started sobbing, I don't know why, I"m really quite okay with this, except for the time and money. But my awesome boss sent me home.
Sorry to be all me, me, me
Because this is such an unimportant, first-world problem, except for how IT TOTALLY ISN'T. Honestly, leave the apologizing for those of us who really complain about stupid stuff. Feh. Apology-hogger.
Erin, I wish I were closer. I'd bring you soup and amusing dolls.
I'm sorry that I'm sorry, Em! Don't thwap me with the amusing dolls!
(thanks, btw. I like hot and sour!)
Erin, when is this all happening?
I'm actually going to be in the area next weekend. I have no idea if I'll have time to get away (big family gathering for the nephew's baptism), but I'd love to try!
May 6th is my surgery, vw.
