I interupt the whitefonted conversation to say, all the talk of thai food led me to go get thai food on dinner break. Yellow curry chicken. nom nom nom.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

{{{Erin}}} Quick-post-surgery-healing~ma to you.

Heard back from my professor:

Dear Glamcookie,

I very, very much appreciate your response. I wish every student had your maturity in handling such situations. Perhaps it will serve as a reminder that safe choices are rarely satisfying in the end, and that we need to connect with what moves us, wherever that might take us (sorry if this is too lyrical, but there is a practical lesson there).

I'd be happy to work with you on IS. Indeed, bring me a proposal, and we can take it from there.

My best regards,
Prof

well, the grade wasn't what you might have wanted, but it sounds like you got a notch higher on respect from the Prof. In the end, I think you won in that bargain.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I forgot to say thank-you for the wonderful soup recipes. I made the tomato tonight with fresh tomatoes (I blanched and peeled them) and it was faboo.

fyi I didn't think about what might happen when I put hot tomatoes and baking soda in the blender. The soup tried to escape through the ceiling! I was able to get it blended using very short bursts.

Oh, the laughing.... The cats were freaked. Harvey kept trying to pet me while we were laughing. Sammie just left the room. She went into the kitchen to sit on our dish towel and lick the counter.

Erin, lots of medical~ma for you.

vw, I hope you not only get the MassHealth coverage restored, but also get someone to pound a little sense into the senseless person you got stuck with talking to today.

Yay job for JZ!

Blend/puree the blanched tomatoes before cooking. I've done that, when the only canned tomato product available was stewed tomatoes, and it worked out very nicely. The soup will come out reasonably smooth, and you don't have to worry about handling hot food in the blender.

Holy crap, Erin!

Awesome letter, GC!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

FTR: I am as sick as Plei and Teppy because as soon as I read Erin's description I went "Oooh! Teratoma!" and proceeded to Image Google them. For not the first time.

Erin, if the bloods come back good, can you postpone for a week? That sounds like a wicked financial hit.

(Like you need afuckingnother one!)
