You would also have access to Tom's homebrew...

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Did you miss the previous post re: We're there?

YAY! Meet us in our back yard, we'll have some cold beers in the garden.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Man, now *I* want to move to Salem! I could totally afford that house!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Mentioning houses made me do a little virtual shopping in Seattle again...

And I want this house: [link]

The very first thing I'd do is repaint it something less, um, monochromatic and minty, but I want this house. Too bad we're not shopping until 2009, and that's assuming the inheritance comes through at the level we currently expect...

Or, a house on my street! I'd babysit!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I want this house near where Jessica lives.

I can't afford it, though.

Get in on the tanking New England real estate market while you can!!!

Holy shit, Nora! I had no idea things were coming down that much in Salem. 200-300K was about the range I was thinking I could go for in the next year or so, but I was afraid I'd have to move significantly farther out (and probably off the train line).

Also, speaking of beer in Salem, have you checked out Gulu-Gulu Cafe yet? I haven't taken a close look at their selection (or even been inside) but from passing by it looks like they are definitely going for the exotic end of the beer spectrum.

Oh man that's pretty. But I'm pretty sure it's too far east for the school district I want to be in. (And also, you know, $1.7 million. Details...)

[eta: This one, on the other hand, has a wine cellar! And is closer to the park! OMGWANT. Anyone got $2.5m they could lend me? I'd let you use the billiard room...]

Tom and I are quite fond of the Gulu-Gulu. Good place for lunch. Has fancy coffee, good beer, and really good hummus. It's hipster waitstaff service, so you shouldn't be in a rush or anything. I like the space, too.
