Mal: Then I call it a win. What's the problem? Inara: Should I start with the part where you're stranded in the middle of nowhere, or the part where you have no clothes?

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I really need to just find some way to program my computer to just not allow me to read Salon comments. Head 'splodey. (This story involved Israel, Nazis, and pornography. I really should have known better than the read the comments. Though the comment about how Nazis disguised themselves as Jews and snuck into Israel, and are now the heads of the Israeli army, was kind of fascinating in a surreal way. Aside from all the other issues with that, any Nazis would be at least close to 90 by now.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I was tempted to say to him, "That Marmaduke, huh?"

Nobody tells Marmaduke what to do. That's my kinda dog.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Ok, the music for the "flying frenchman" was, IMHO, totally innapropriate (at least for most of it, the end was kinda working for me, but i still expected.....more, based on the scoring)

heh. I couldn't (and still can't) place the reference. So I looked up "Marmaduke" in "quotes" on imdb. Trick was the first two hits.

I've gotta get on with Passover cleaning the kitchen, and sorting through my Passover pots and pans and stuff. Don't wanna. REALLY don't wanna. Huge job, and I know that what I need to do is break it down into smaller tasks, but even that's overwhelming to think about right now.

how often is it OK to remind someone they owe you money?

Trust my rage

depends on what you value more- the person or the money. Although I think once is okay. I mean, you shouldn't have to and you are in the right obviously but I think more than once risks damaging the relationship.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's exciting news, Scola!

Back from baseball. Yesterday we had a long hot practice in the noonday sun and worked and worked on pop flies and cut-offs and I gave a lot of extra batting instruction to the bottom part of our order. And it all paid off today! Two of our shakier fielders made excellent catches on towering fly balls and popups, the other team hit but we kept them from scoring because of outfield play and I got important hits from some of the guys I worked with.

Cubs win 7-0. Emmett hit well especially considering he arrived on a flight last night after midnight and didn't get into bed until 1:40. But he was robbed by an excellent play by the Rightfielder on a sinking liner, and crushed a double into the gap past the centerfielder. Then he moved up on some aggressive baserunning and scored on a wild pitch.

We're now 4-1 and in first place. Woot!
