You want to meet the real me now?

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

((((((((((((((Susan)))))))))))))))

Really, I don't begin to know what to say, love. Strength to you and yours.

You guys, my mom just tried to add me on Facebook.

OMG, that happened to me once! And I shat myself! And, I mean, I love and like my mum just more than I can say, she's awesome - but I had a total freakout. And emailed my sister, who also had a total freakout. And the thing was, it was totally my own fault - I'd emailed her the linky link to a photoalbum on facebook, one of the linkylinks that you can send to people who don't have facebook accounts, so they can see that album (but nothing else). And in her techno-uncertainty, she somehow managed to not follow the link properly, and ended up joining facebook.

I did not friend her. Nor did my sister. And I made it clear that she DID NOT NEED TO JOIN FACEBOOK. And she was just all frustrated with not being able to see the pictures, and not actually interested in finding out what facebook is, so it all worked out okay in the end because she abandoned it, and my sister got her to follow the linky link properly.

But, man. Yes. PC, I feel you OMGWTF.

Some of you newbies don't know about the days where I had to go away and come back as someone else because of some people in my life reading the board and not liking what they read...like to extreme levels. Those were crazy days.

They were! But, on the plus side, that was when and where I happened to hear of Wicked for the first time. Which was nice.

So who is the best gay in history?

Captain Jack!

...oh, hang on, does it have to be REAL people?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

good work, hard work, not a lot of money for the job

Beck, thanks for the info! That's the impression i've gotten, and i'm ok with the sacrifices as long as i feel like i'm doing something useful. We shall see if it works out, i started the application process today but even if i make it through all the testing i wouldn't start training until September. Whoo hoo, bring on more temping!

{{{{{Susan}}}}} I'm so sorry. ~ma to all of you.

The status is NOT quo.

I can has enclosed back yard! Byron is a very happy cat right now. Except that he really wants to get out into the "real outdoors," but we really can't afford to put a trellis around the entire neighborhood. He'll get over it. He's already sprayed the hydrangea bush twice and the flowers once. Mia and Seamus are playing "hop up and down on the brick wall" (the lattice is bolted to the wall), and Byron just made a three plus foot jump to join them! I can't believe he can still jump that high!

OTOH, Seamus can jump too high. On section of the trellis is lower than the rest, and as soon as he figures he can easily jump on top of it, he's going to have to become full time indoor kitty again. Watching him chase bugs is way too fun right now, though.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

If Cary Grant had been gay, he would have been the world's greatest gay. Alas, his gayness was more alleged than verified.

Byron just made my day. Good news, that high jump.

Yay, Byron! Kristin, I'm glad he's recovering so well.

I found a pretty dress to wear to the wedding I'm going to in a couple of weeks. It's red and black and was only $23!

Our wings are not tired.

Windsparrow, I think it's pretty clear that he was at least bi-sexual. From the Publisher's Weekly review of a Cary Grant biography listed on Amazon:

On-screen and off, Grant was pursued by women, but his openly gay relationship with Randolph Scott lasted until both were pressured by studios to marry.

And YAY for Byron!!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Woo hoo jumping cat!

Now, if anyone can tell me where I put my iPod down, that'd be really helpful. It needs to charge but I can't find it. (If it were an iPhone, I could call it, but alas, it is but a lowly Touch.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks, Sox. Good luck! Hope your sitter arrives as scheduled.

{{{{Susan}}}} I'm so sorry you're going through all this.

Kristin, I forgot to mention how much DH respects 3 legged animals. He's seen a few dogs who've lost legs to cancer and he just admires their gumption and survival instincts in adapting to their condition. He's always sworn to me when we're ready for our next pet, we should look for a three-legged beastie.
