good work, hard work, not a lot of money for the job
Beck, thanks for the info! That's the impression i've gotten, and i'm ok with the sacrifices as long as i feel like i'm doing something useful. We shall see if it works out, i started the application process today but even if i make it through all the testing i wouldn't start training until September. Whoo hoo, bring on more temping!
{{{{{Susan}}}}} I'm so sorry. ~ma to all of you.
I can has enclosed back yard! Byron is a very happy cat right now. Except that he really wants to get out into the "real outdoors," but we really can't afford to put a trellis around the entire neighborhood. He'll get over it. He's already sprayed the hydrangea bush twice and the flowers once. Mia and Seamus are playing "hop up and down on the brick wall" (the lattice is bolted to the wall), and Byron just made a three plus foot jump to join them! I can't believe he can still jump that high!
OTOH, Seamus can jump too high. On section of the trellis is lower than the rest, and as soon as he figures he can easily jump on top of it, he's going to have to become full time indoor kitty again. Watching him chase bugs is way too fun right now, though.
If Cary Grant had been gay, he would have been the world's greatest gay. Alas, his gayness was more alleged than verified.
Byron just made my day. Good news, that high jump.
Yay, Byron! Kristin, I'm glad he's recovering so well.
I found a pretty dress to wear to the wedding I'm going to in a couple of weeks. It's red and black and was only $23!
Windsparrow, I think it's pretty clear that he was at least bi-sexual. From the Publisher's Weekly review of a Cary Grant biography listed on Amazon:
On-screen and off, Grant was pursued by women, but his openly gay relationship with Randolph Scott lasted until both were pressured by studios to marry.
And YAY for Byron!!
Woo hoo jumping cat!
Now, if anyone can tell me where I put my iPod down, that'd be really helpful. It needs to charge but I can't find it. (If it were an iPhone, I could call it, but alas, it is but a lowly Touch.)
Thanks, Sox. Good luck! Hope your sitter arrives as scheduled.
{{{{Susan}}}} I'm so sorry you're going through all this.
Kristin, I forgot to mention how much DH respects 3 legged animals. He's seen a few dogs who've lost legs to cancer and he just admires their gumption and survival instincts in adapting to their condition. He's always sworn to me when we're ready for our next pet, we should look for a three-legged beastie.
Found it! It was lying black-side up on one of the black couches half-under a black cushion. There are times I regret letting Hotblack Desiato furnish my living room.
