I love how Firefly did space scenes, like Mal and Zoe going through airlocks.

Did the creepy government doctor at the beginning of Serenity tell Simon that River was a empath? (Meaning, retroactively, should Simon have known throughout the series that River was picking up on the emotions of everyone around her?)
