There are also specific episodes of West Wing that would work, if you wanted to branch out. Offhand, I remember the ones that deal with the selection of Supreme Court justices, but obviously, they dealt with eight million different topics during the run of the show.

lcat, maybe All the King's Men. And Talk of the Town may get a little esoteric, and it involves State courts and not Federal, but it has a lot to say about law as a set of principles vs. law as a way to deal with specific situations.
Part of the problem is, the way the Federal government works is usually not the stuff that good movies are made of.
