The sytycd community on LJ tells me the choreo from the Paso was mostly recycled from the Canadian version, and there is a link to how it was danced there (much, much better): [link]
I think Evan is charming, but it is time for him to go. I never had much feeling for Randi, so I won't be sad if/when she exits tonight.
I was just starting to go through the TWOP thread for yesterday's ep, and someone mentioned a guys group routine from a previous season done to "Five Guys Named Moe"! I had no idea about that--I'm going to have to look for it on youtube.
My sister got me hooked on the Broadway cast recording of FGNM many years ago, and I was finally able to see it live in Chicago about 8-9 years ago. It was fantastic, and incorporated a lot more dancing than the Broadway version did, according to the Tribune review of the show.
The guys routine was last year Kathy.
NIGEL choreographed the Five Guys routine! I recall it as pretty frenetic - lots of running around.
What a difference between the Canadian kids' Paso and Kupono and Randi! Wow, that's the way a Paso should be done.

With much better music as well.
I'm starting to think Evan is limited as Philip in the way he moves. What he does, he does really well, but he can't really change his game at all
Loved Jeanine's solo! And Jeanette's. And Kupono's solo may have been my favorite of his. Too bad about the Paso.
Randi can go.
for those who haven't seen the Canadian season, i heartily recommend. some of the best dancers i've seen. period.
TC:M - the complaints about needing a knife and fork to eat one fried shrimp are boggling my mind. You pop it in your mouth and chew, people, it's not hard.
I've never watched Top Chef, but I'm enjoying this edition.
-t - exactly. That woman was just trying to make trouble.
