I cannot wait. A friend of mine was at the taping tonight and he better call me and give me the dirt. Two whole hours until I can see it West Coast style. I finished my blog for last night in the interim. It felt good to get some of that Tyce hate out.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
kat, where's your blog? I'll read it!
kat, your blog is genius. (Here, le n: [link] )
I still feel like they could have traded out Evan for Vitolio at this point, but meh. I feel like all of the girls are so good, but both Phillip and Evan are so obviously suck-ass out of their own styles, I'm annoyed they've both stayed so long. Meh!
Jesse is me. I was sort of surprised by both the bottom 3 and who they chose, but happy I guess.
That last solo was amazing.
ETA: Also, damn you NappyTabs for picking awesome music.
Kinda shocked by all that Nigel said - like I don't feel he needs to explain that much and certainly does not need to be dropping the illusion so much.
Really surprised Randi and Evan were not btm 3. what will it take to get them there?
liked the group dance.
when it the 100th episode Katie Holmes nonsense? next week?

I have a feeling when they're not together they will go down in flames.
100th is July 23rd. Should be good.
Well, that was unexpected. I can't believe Randi and Evan escaped B3. Evan's fan base must be out of this world. I was not torn up by either boot. Chbeeb should've gone weeks ago and while I liked Caitlin, she never really caught fire on the show. All three girls had great solos tonight, although Jeanine fell out of a couple of those turns and looked really nervous. And a boy finally served up an awesome solo. Ade was amaaazing. There was nothing about that solo that I didn't love. Jason was still too frantic for my taste, but shirtless helped. A lot.
It is so tight on Kelly Rowland right now. I was embarrassed for her. She needs to phone Bey's weave-ologist immediately and get that Barbie hair replaced with some fine Yaki. And she can ask for the number of Bey's vocal coach while she's at it, because she was just caterwauling there at the end. And what was up with no dance guest? I disapprove.
Just when I'm ready to completely write NappyTab off they remind me that they can actually choreograph when they stay away from the overly literal "smooth" hip hop. I loved that group dance. Janette and Brandon owned that center stage. Those two are fierceness personified.
There was no dance guest, was there? i knew I was missing something.
I'm glad we finally got to see Melissa's solo, they didn't actually show much of her in the auditions. That I saw, anyway, I did fast forward through a lot. More glad to have seen Ade, though.
Loved the group dance.

They really did stand out, didn't they? I was also surprised to see Melissa do as well as she did in the hip-hop style (the little I saw of her)--I can't wait to see what happens with her and her new partner if/when they get it for their dance.
Ade totally rocked that solo! He had the jumps, the flashy moves, the rhythm, and most important, the passion. He was dancing for his life, and you could feel it, but without the desperation that Jason exudes.
I think that, right now, they've got a pretty decent final ten dancers. I'm really looking forward to the mixup in couples--I want to see Jeanine pop out from behind Phillip's incompetent shadow, and I can't wait to see how Melissa and Janette spark with their new partners.
Are all the remaining girls the same height/taller than Evan?
