It just occured to me that some of the style creep is probably because of the diversity of dancers and styles on the show -- choreographers might throw stuff in that the dancer can do well, even if it isn't strictly key to the given style, even beyond obvious tricks and etc., huh?

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

Yup. It does contribute to style creep. (I really like that phrase, style creep. I'm picturing someone dressed like GQ, but with bare feet and stubble, maybe even a fu-manchu.)
Maybe it's becuase I'm thinking about this weekend, but I was really underwhelmed this week.
There were really only four performances that stood out for me. The rest were all blahblahblah.
Wylie Dufresne getting rattled is pretty funny.

Hee!
i'm not feeling compelled to vote for anyone, really. really liked Evan/Randi, Max/Kayla and Jonathan/Karla. everyone else was pretty meh for me. was really disappointed that Phillip didn't do better. he's tried out the past 3 years, he's seen the show. why hasn't he taken more ballroom classes?
TC: That Elizabath Falkner IRKS ME. She irked me on Food Network Challenge, making some avant garde thing that the judges "didn't get," and now complaining that people have "put her in a pink pastry box," when she's ESTABLISHED AS A CAKE MAKER. OK, she has another restaurant as well. BUT STILL.
Um. I didn't realize I felt so strongly. Possibly I was pre-irked by Wylie Dufresne.
Also, the Lost people must really watch nothing but food tv -- they had Ace of Cakes, too, and do you really think Lost is the show that ABC is most interested in promoting? I mean, I guess it could be, given that I don't know what else is on ABC....
BTW,
Did anyone see the ads for "More to Love" on SYCYTD? Just when I didn't think I could be further offended by Fox, here comes this.
