"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I would love to see him and his jheri curl on this show.

Right? If he could just guest judge one week, I'd be happy.

SYTYCD is the same production company as AI, right?

It seems so much less tapped into marketing. Their site is just not very good. Under recaps, there is location for the music to be listed, but it is not updated and as far as I can tell does not link to itunes/artist's pages to get the music. I know it is a dance show, but that would be great cross promotion for the artists they use. The actual recap section does not include anything from the last 2 eps!!!

information libertarian

msbelle, this site does music recaps of each show, usually with a link to download. They don't go up immediately, but are good. [link]

Ryan Kasprzak posted on facebook this morning that he's trying out for season 6 today. they need to be giving him a ticket directly to Vegas like they did Phillip this year.

I really liked Ryan. And I liked that he wasn't wearing a hat when we saw him in the audience (I think that he looks better without). He seems to have taken the judges' words to heart.

You know what I want to see? I want to see Colicchio competing in TC:M. Just a thought.

That would be awesome.

That said, OMGLOVE. I loved the dessert challenge, I loved the dorm room challenge. I can't wait to see what happens next week.

The dorm room challenge was hilarious. As others have said, it's cool to see these master chefs have to go through the bizarre BS the TC challenge writers come up with.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

If they could have Ryan, that 17 year old kid that was so good but too young, Natalie and Alex next season, I would be in heaven. Bonus points if Nabuya beefs up in some other styles and is able to make it past Vegas Week.

I was not impressed with Shane's hip hop number at all. What was with the "light as a feather, stiff as a board" trick in the back with the dancer covered in a black sheet? And Boom Boom Pow? Really? Shane can usually pull out a song that's not so played out on the radio. It's not even that I don't like that song, but I expect Shane to come with something harder. And I'm really worried about hip hop on the show this season if that's all the girls can bring. None of them were good. A few of them were passable.

I don't know what Sean Kingston was doing last night. I was embarrassed for him and his back up dancers. The show really needs to cut out the musical guests. They could have two dances from around the world.

You know what I would like? I would like for them to re-use some good routines that did not get good performances. Like a couple completely does NOT turn it out - a few weeks later, or another season, we get to see it done awesomely.

That could definitely be fun. I would love to see that Wade Angel/Devil piece done right. I still have nightmares of Mischa Chan scrambling around the stage mugging and screaming. Insufferable. Or that latin jazz that Maria Torres set on Lacey and the Hunchback. It was horribly danced, but the routine actually looked quite good. Oh, or the Martha/Travis krump with two people who can actually dance hip hop! That would be awesome. Love this idea.
