Am sad about the brothers, but am totally thinking that was in part a production decision--America will vote for the cuter brother?

actually, I thought that the older one was cuter in the WSS number (I like strong, angular faces). He has a good face for intensity, not so much for whimsy without the hat.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Nigel actually tweeted about that.

He makes a good point (if Ryan choreographed, he'd be a Fox employee and unable to try out next year).

I was so glad they went with Asuka instead of the blonde contemp dancer--they already have three of those in the final ten women, they didn't need a fourth, if they're looking for variety in their casting. Bummed that Ryan didn't get in, but not surprised. I hope he does embrace his balding hair! He looked terrific in the WSS number without the hat, just like the judges told him. And he's not fat, just has a square body, much like Gene Kelly. IIRC, he does have a terrific ass!

I am definitely looking forward to this season!!

although, look at what a lot of the winners/contestants have ended up doing after they win/compete. they come back and choreograph. so i don't necessarily think it would be a terrible choice for Ryan to go ahead and start making money doing something he obviously loves to do.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I definitely understand MCB's decision. And I definitely am sad we don't get our shiny Alex toy.

Yeah, he was hot in that WSS number. Part of it is just my competence kink. He was there, passionately doing what he knows he does best, and that's just attractive to me. But that wasn't all of it, for sure. I would have liked to have seen both of them in there, to see how they handled things together. But that's okay.

How old is Ryan? Because dance is such a young man's game, but choreography is not. So I'd say dance while you can.

Ryan's 29 and Evan's 21.

I thought Ryan was better than Evan in both the WSS number and in Mia's contemporary piece, but I still think that Evan is a better contestant for the show. I can't see 14 year olds picking up the phone or making sparkly signs that say "Vote 4 Ryan" or "Ryan Rox". The show has to play to their demographic. Also, maybe since they are having another season basically right after this one finishes, maybe they'll bring Ryan back for the fall SYTYCD.

It would be great to bring him on as a choreographer. I think he'd be tons better at chroegraphing Broadway for the show than Tasty Oreo.

I suppose a 33 year old making sparkly signs wouldn't have the same effect, would it? Because I would be willing to do that, for the cause, and you all know what a sacrifice that is for me, as my anti-sparkly bias is on record.

I am so obsessed with this show, aren't I? I just rewatched the announce the top twenty show with the SO.

I am still so baffled by Mia's comments to Brandon. "I don't like what you bring to the dance floor?" What is that? I don't understand what she's saying, even. Attitude?

I think they were both just pushing back at how great everybody said he was going to be.

Also, I am sad at losing my shiny Alex toy and the second Kasprzak all over again.

Yeah, I think that he was really upped by Mary and Ms. Allen, so their expectations were through the roof. Mia was kind of nasty about it, although you have to appreciate her frankness. I know many people whose physical mannerisms annoy me for no particular reason, so I could understand that, but not why she was such a bitch about it.
