Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Cool. Not that I really care that much about early auditions, but the completist in me wants to see it all.
I miss having a dvr.
I think it started on Thursday last week, which was why last night's show confused me.
And tonight I kind of want to watch the spelling bee...
Nigel has been talking up tonight's episode for days, Amy. you don't know "Sex", but he has auditioned at least 4 out of the 5 seasons and he's terrible. apparently tonight there is some kind of dance off between him and someone else. Nigel also claims this will be the last we see of "Sex" and when we see tonight's ep "we'll know why".
Sex is classic.
He lives with his mother, who has this very heavy new york accent. I remember her complaining that no one would recognize his talent. Clue much?
I caught the second hour of last night's SYTYCD (Memphis auditions) and saw the guy who called his dance style "electric" ... and then called Nigel rude (well, he is, but duh). And I remember the "name" "Sex" and that he was terrible, but the details have faded ... maybe just as well.
Okay this is really cool with what's his name dancing wiht the girl and then they former contestants judging him. It was cute and light hearted and fun and nice.
I missed what the girl was saying about dancing and religion though.
Oh man, straight to Vegas for next season.
Odd voiceover, I guess they changed season 6. Did they say Fall? But that guy was really good.
Adam is just so sweet.
That girl was saying basically she has to decide if she's going to be a dancer or an Orthodox Jew -- dance on the Sabbath, with men, etc.
Do you think they could end up with a critical mass of tappers this year, and make other folks tap? They haven't before, have they?
Ohh I remember Phillip! I hope he gets through to the top.
