One thing I like about this year is that they both seem like really nice decent guys and both seem like they really love music. Maybe that's partly the schtick of the show, but it seems genuine. Joking at the end, "THIS guy!"

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

That is a really bad coronation song.

Okay the Finale is actually interesting, the Bikini Girl thing, I was like oh oh oh god no but then Kara came on and that was cool. Just seeing Bikini Girl's face when Kara outsang her.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I've only been tuning in occasionally, so I missed the bikini girl sing-off. I gotta say, they're getting some stellar duets out of this show.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've apparently never heard most Kiss songs -- I didn't actually know there was a song Detroit Rock City, even though my friends and I always call it that.

Because books.

Okay, *that* was surreal. And actually sort of cool. "Beth"! Jesus, I used to love that song.

Yeah, I've never heard that either, apparently.

Also, I was slightly offended by Seacrest saying, "Cyndi Lauper and the incredibly talented" whoever (I don't actually watch this show).

Casper was totally rocking out to KISS. mr. flea and I were just sitting there in kind of stunned awesomeness.

Abd we're in a hotel at the airport! Adam and KISS! Surreal!
