Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The cheerleaders just have the same hair color.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Awesome. One of the Jade episodes of ANTM is on Oxygen right now.

Because books.

Aw, I'm enjoying standards night on Idol! Kris was great -- I think he's a real dark horse in this.

I am, I think, finally over Simon. I used to enjoy him, but now every word out of his mouth seems designed to showcase his own savviness, his own cynicism.

I ... may have caught on a little late, I know.

I like Simon in small doses. I wish they'd go back to having only two of them evaluate per song.

I love Danny and Adam, tonight. Matt should be going this week.

See, Adam is just way too ... Vegas for me, or something. He's got a fabulous voice, but the calculated way he performs leaves me cold.

I loved Kris and Danny (Danny! so good!). And I thought Allison really sold that song -- I think that was her best performance in weeks.

Thank you, rickey.org.

Hey, they were all pretty good! I think Matt will go, and should, and I say that even though he's probably my favorite, both his voice and his style, when he's good, and he was good tonight (except lay off the cheesy melisma). Allison is maybe at risk, given the death slot. I am now bored by Danny and I like Kris and think he's charming, but I realized tonight I don't actually like his voice. Adam for me is on a different plane from the others - we're seeing fully professional performances from him. I can't quite imagine his "pop" album, but if he doesn't come out of this show with either a Vegas show or a starring role on Broadway I'll be shocked.

Did anyone else see tonight's Deadliest Catch?

God, that was just gut-wrenching seeing the four survivors of the Katmai being interviewed about their experience in forty-foot seas, watching their fellows being tossed out of the raft to certain death. The entire episode was suitably subdued, reflecting the sad reality of those seven deaths.

I just saw the clip of Adam's performance from last night--that was great! Loved the swaggerific stroll down the staircase, and the interpretation was a perfect balance of slightly-Vegasy cheese and blues bar smokey haze.

I'm with flea on his future; can't quite imagine a traditional pop album of his, but I can definitely imagine him headlining in Vegas or getting a Broadway show lead.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Oh, Adam's headed straight (heh) for Broadway after his contract obligations are over. I can easily see him in In the Heights, Wicked, West Side Story, Rock of Ages, etc.
