WTF? I can't believe that they wasted the save like that. Wasn't it supposed to be for the shock elimination?
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Yeah, maybe SYTYCD, TC, PR, AI, TAR?
Did a new season of ANTM just start? I don't watch it, but that seems to get a lot of play. And TAR is ending soon, no?
Survivor, Hell's Kitchen, MythBusters, Dirty Jobs are some others. I'm not sure just how many we want in the slug.
ANTM's ... eight? ... weeks into the current season. Somehow I can't get enthusiastic about any of them. There hasn't been a decent cat fight since about the third episode. But! next week they go to Brazil - the travel usually makes things more interesting.
And guess what I saw in a bookstore! An ANTM book - a guide to being FIERCE.
So ANTM is about where TAR and Survivor are I guess.
It might be nice to have one non-competition show in there. I'd vote Dirty Jobs, but that might be my hormones talking. I can't think which one gets discussed the most.
I was thinking about a balance to the types of shows and networks -- so, like maybe ANTM and Top Chef, and not MMaSM, if that makes sense.
So maybe something like ANTM, Top Chef, AI and Dirty Jobs? That covers pretty much each category of frequently watched shows. Fashion, Cooking, Entertainment and Manly shows? Then when AI ends it can be replace with SYTYCD and we can do other things like that with other shows?
When is the next Top Chef?
SYTYCD starts in May so I think we should definitely have that in there.
I don't want to change too often lest the stompies stomp on us.
Good point with the SYTYCD. Can't speak to the cooking shows as I don't watch them. I know Hell's Kitchen is on right now, but I'm guessing it will end soon as I think it started at the same time AI did.
