Because books.

Her career in Asia is pretty cool, for sure. I love the pictures she posts. She's smart as hell, and really funny.

I clearly missed the one where Tarantino was on Idol before. He's pretty funny about the song choices.

Of course, at first I thought they'd have to pick songs *only* from Tarantino movies, which could have been sort of interesting.

I think that was Anoop's best performance to date. I love Allison but I thought she wasn't as strong at first.

And Adam was great. Interesting way to go and obviously the audience loved it.

Amy I was thinking they were going to Tarantino movies only too that would be interesting.

I don't like the 2 at a time thing but they have to do something.

It was hysterical that they called out for running over. It was the first week they went to an hour, though.

I'm still not a huge Adam fan, although he's clearly incredibly talented, but he manages to pull it out every week, doesn't he? It's always a unique take on a song.

I do like Alison, but I didn't understand why the judges loved that so much. I thought it was weak. And someone has to do something about her hair! It's like a whole other entity.

I agreed, Allison was not up to her usual, and Anoop was the best I've seen him.

Also, Danny Gokey? K-Fed stubble is not a good look, and especially so for you.

I liked Kris. I don't think I heard the song before but it was good and he sang it well and it was simple and moving (at least to me).

I feel bad for Lil. It seems like she really tried but still can't get good marks. I'm not sure what the hell Paula was saying.

And for god's sake if you are worried about the show going over why in the HELL was there that stupid Simon as Randy thing going on? They probably would have come in on time without it.

I missed what Quentin said to Danny, did he say to do less with his hands?

Yes, Danny was supposed to put the emotion into his eyes, not his hands.

I was not wild about anyone this time. I know the song Kris sang really well, so I was comparing his performance to the original, which was better (it is a lovely song!). But maybe most people don't know it that well.

I thought Lil was a bit all over the place, stylistically.

My bottom 3 is tough. I guess Anoop, Lil, and Danny. But that's sort of based on body of work rather than just tonight.

You will smack me for saying this, but I still haven't seen the movie. (I know! It's in my queue!) But as a morning VH1 watcher, I know the song backwards and forwards, and I LOVE it.

Oops. I quoted flea, and was speaking to tiggy. But I know she *will* smack me for not seeing it yet, so.

I haven't seen the movie either. I never see any movies that weren't made by Pixar.
