We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I saw that on Countdown earlier this week--Olbermann was making a supreme effort to not cackle when they played the line from his Slap-Chop commercial, "Let me show you my nuts."

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have to ask, did they borrow camera lenses from Elizabeth Taylor when they shot his infomercials? He looks about 20 years older in his mugshots than on TV...

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

There's something about the lighting in the police station that adds 10 years. The booze doesn't help, either

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

MMaSM: Agree with all said, especially re: the measurements, but I understand what's being portrayed. It is still always upsetting to me to see someone who to my eye is unhealthily thin be excited over losing more weight. However, as ita indicates, I have no way of knowing which person is actually at a healthy weight for their metabolism.

Still, models look too thin to me. It makes me uncomfortable that my society is demanding this one particular body makeup from them, just like I feel uncomfortable watching the jockeys try to keep their weight down. It just seems like we ask too much of them.

Otherwise, yay, CJ's gone. Kerryn is definitely growing on me. She seems very mutable. And she did rock that white suit. (Back to CJ, I loved the styling they did on her, so I was even more miffed that she clearly hated it.)

The thing that always annoys me is when the models are skinny but clearly out of shape. Like, skinny but flabby--sure, they're a size zero, and bony, but also kinda flab and clearly don't ever work out.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Survivor....AAAAAAAAARGH SPIDERS! BIG GIANT HONKING NEST OF FUCKING SPIDERS!

Other than that, good ep. I was happy with the way the vote went.

I agree with everything Jess said. I was actually tense during the reward challenge, when I often fast forward through them.

Also, good thing Jilli doesn't watch Survivor.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I was happy with how the vote went, but think it was wrong strategy -- plus I think a bunch of people became stupid from starvation.

For whom?

For JT and Stephen. By voting out Sydney, you lose an ally in Joe and keep an ally in Taj. By voting out Taj, you keep *two* allies and the immunity idol. Moreover Taj is more of a final-three threat than Sydney or Joe. Finally, as was pointed out, her alliance with Timbira is kind of a mixed blessing. They probably couldn't know this, but Jalapao is better off being allied with Erinn than Brendan and Sierra. Of course, Erinn didn't seem to realize that the low man on the totem pole switches sides, but maybe they left that for a future episode.
