I'm worried Alexis is going to be the one to go home. I hated Megan. Hated what she did to the song and I don't think she has any stage presence but there, but they were really pushing the sympathy vote for her.

I did like Matt, tonight. I really don't know who I liked best. I have to go with Allison, Lil, Danny and Matt for sure. And Adam. He's kinda in a category of his own.

Adam's version reminded me of The Deftones cover of No Ordinary Love... both covers sound kinda creepy and otherworldly.

I'm worried that Alexis will go home, but I think it should be Scott. Or Megan.

Did you want to hear what I think about American Idol? I knew you did! Bear in mind I only started watching last week and have missed lots of performances due to Bedtime for Children.

Danny is my favorite so far - he can sing AND talk intelligently, and is rocking the geeky music minister thing.
Adam terrifies me. He is a good singer and has stage presence but his over-the-topness is so completely not my style that I have to watch him from the hall. I only saw the closing snippet of Ring of Fire and wanted to spork myself. So not my beautiful cake.
Anoop is a local boy (UNC) and seems like a smart and nice fellow, but everything about him shouts "dorky college a capella " to me. I can't see him ever becoming a pop star (though, if it can happen to Clay Aiken...)
Alexis is, like, 19, right? Why does she look sort of like Cindy McCain in her brittle matronliness? She can sing okay but I am as meh on her as the judges - she's not "growing" and they like growth.
Megan Joy - love her song choices, am just fine with her weird vocal stylings, but the problem is, she can't sing. She has, like, a 3-note range. Maybe with some training she might get better, but I don't think there's time. Also someone needs to teach her what to do with her hands and body when she sings. Maybe teach her to play guitar.
Matt? - the Timberlake-alike - I wasn't as wowed with as the judges were. This was the only performance I've seen, so I am willing to give him the benefit of doubt.
Lil is one of the better and more polished singers, and should go to top 4, but so far she's just solid and not sock-knocking-off. She needs to change or grow or develop some AI narrative to go all the way.
Megan - is that the 16 year old with the low voice? Not going far. She's sort of got one thing, and she doesn't do it exceptionally, from what I've seen.
I can't remember the rest - I think I haven't even seen two of the boys. (Why so many boys?)

In closing, kat perez, where are you??

Because books.

I'm trying to think of who you're forgetting. Kris? And Scott? (The blind guy.)

Allison is the 16-year-old, and I disagree -- I think she's got a remarkable voice and a hell of a lot of presence for her age. She never looks like she's rehearsed, really -- she just gets out there and does her thing.

I think if you saw some of Lil's other performances, you might like her a little better, flea. Or at least have more of a sense of her.

Danny is my favorite. I love his style and his voice, and he's adorably geeky, sort of, and so laid-back and awesome. LOVE him.

Matt (the JT look-alike) did a fantastic Georgia On My Mind during Hollywood week, flea. I think if you'd seen that, you'd know why the judges are for him. And, while I thought he was good last night, I don't think he merited the judge love that much, either.

as usual, Amy, you and i are as one. despite my facebook status update, i did watch the performances on my lunch hour via the lovely rickey.org. i have to admit i kind of liked not having to sit through a lot of the judges drivel. if the season keeps going the way i'm expecting it to, that may be how i watch from now on.

Adam belongs on Broadway. pure and simple. last night reaffirmed that for me. he was constantly looking for whichever camera was on him so he could have eyesex with it and it irritated me beyond belief.

Allison has stage presence. Last night wasn't a great show of it, but last week when she took the song and rocked it she was the first one to come out and really use the stage and do something besides stand there.

I think of that week (crap I can't remember what she sang)Allsion, Adam, and Alexis used the stage the best. Or at all.

Alexis is in her early 20s I think.
