Yeah. You could say "First Nations" if you had to. As a note of etymological curiosity, many of the individual tribes' names for themselves translate roughly into "The People" which is, well, what they are. I kinda love that.
Top Chef, Restaurant Wars: Radhika really really should have made Jeff be front of house. She would have had control of the kitchen that way and could have moved the ego out of the back room. She was just not assertive enough. I'm sorry to see her go, because I felt she was strong with seasoning. But I don't think she would have made it to the end, and what happened this episode is part of why.
Superbowl: I was glad to see Jeff go. He never grew on me; he'd always start to, and then he'd say something else condescending. I love Fabio, so I'm glad he squeaked in, but I hope he meant what he said at the end and really realized that he needs to up his game. I was so thrilled earlier on when I thought it might end up being just Jeff & Stefan up for elim. And I agree with victor re: Andrea. Hee.
Carla has grown on me some, too. Glad to see her redeem herself. But again, I don't think she's there for long.
Oh, and on a personal note, Hosea & Leah, lying around together and making out is probably not the best way of illustrating how dedicated you are to your significant others. Whatever. I'm over you. You're on the wrong reality show.
Yeah, I'm hope that their SOs dumped their asses. Not just to cheat, but on national TV @@.
Hosea mentioned on the Top Chef blog that he and his girlfriend broke up after the show. Leah hasn't talked about it (that I know of).
It's like they're being extremely passively/aggressive: make out with random person you meet on reality tv show on national tv to get your s.o. to break up with you rather than doing it yourself.
I'm kind of excited for tonight's episode.
Did you guys catch No Reservations in Chicago?
Eric Ripert was on that one too.

um...Sumi? It's only Tuesday. I'm pretty sure.
Yeah, it would be classier to call them up and break up with them on national tv speakerphone than what they're doing. I know it's all in the past, but I hate that stuff. I don't mind the chance to get to know the contestants a little bit, so I don't mind that they're in the house or whatever. But I always feel invasive watching relationship stuff go boom on national television.
I was thinking about it, though, with the time delay, and remembering how crazy and much worse it was with MMaSM because it was realtime. That's gotta do a doozy on your brain if you're the SO hung out to dry while it's happening on your tv.
Also, while I'm talking about the time delay, I hate that a cooking show is doing all this stuff pretending to be the season it is when it airs. How can you be all on about fresh and seasonal food and then pretend to cook months in advance, when those ingredients that would be seasonal for the time in question aren't even ripe yet?
Not that the Superbowl has a harvest season, but you know what I mean. It drives me nuts. I'm smart enough to know the show is aired later. Why can't they just do the seasons that are happening when it's filmed?

OMG, that was so nuts. And it's coming back!

I'd forgotten about that! Craziness! I'm so excited it's coming back soon!
I'm thinking there's no way this season's drama can top the bromance.
But then, I thought that no season would be as interesting as the first Top Chef, and that I wouldn't get invested in the following casts, but look at me five years later. Top Chef is the one reality show I can talk about for pretty much the whole week until the next one airs.
