Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Top Chef:

true, but I think that he was rubbed the wrong way by Stefan.

Yeah, that's true. And it seems like he's getting a bad reaction from several of the other contestants, so it might not be Eugene's problem. It's kinda like the Christian thing, where he comes off one way to the viewers, but clearly another way to people in person. Except, in the negative this time.

I'm a reality tv grudge holder, though!

Me too, my sistah! I am the worst snap-judgement grudge holder when it comes to reality tv. I know it's not fair or realistic, but I totally am!

Shut up, Tom Colicchio, a deviled egg is God's own deviled food!

No. No. It's entirely well named. Sorry, but they are puke-worthy.

Because books.

Aw, I love deviled eggs. But yeah, not a winning dish by any measure.

Tom is Santa Claus! A pissed off, disappointed Santa Claus, but still.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

No. No. It's entirely well named. Sorry, but they are puke-worthy.

Shun the unbeliever ... Shun! Shun!

Tom is Santa Claus! A pissed off, disappointed Santa Claus, but still.

Bwah!

Art Crawl!!!

Hee to Tom as SC and to the Deviled Eggs.

I was very happy with the people who wound up in the top 4. Loved the teamwork to get Radhika and Hosea back in the game.

Fabio is so disappointing. I thought that Gene and Jamie were better than they were and I was AMAZED that Carla didn't wind up in the bottom 4. (But by the time we got there I had forgotten about Jamie's slimey scallop dish.)

(Loved Fabio's comment about her in the promo for the next new episode.)

That KILLED me because I had just gotten finished explaining to a friend (who I watched with via IM) about how Leanne is always complaining about the cheftestents obsession with scallops!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'm vaguely ashamed ... Tuesday I went to NBC expecting L&O:SVU and got "Momma's Boys" ... and I watched. The whole thing.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Is that the one where they feature the usual reality show stripperesque fame-whores and the overbearing mothers determined to ensure that their sons never, ever get laid?
