Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
ahaha- man, they were the ultimate worst clue readers and clue getters in the history of the show, based on frequency of going off the rails, how far off track they would go, and how freaking long it would take for them to FINALLY GET IT.
At this point (as it has been since the geeks got eliminated) the only team I'd be actually sad if they got eliminated is Toni & Dallas. But the Flowers in the Attic siblings and Team Almost Divorced are growing on me, mostly because they seem to work well together and are racing smart(er than, say, the Divorces and the Frat Boyz).
Next out: Terence and Sarah please!!
I also loved loved loved the Phil/greeter stuff. Man, that made me laugh. I also loved how Ken and Tina got out of their cab to clear a path! Tina: "Ken, be respectful!"

Nora is me.
Ken & Tina getting out of the cab to clear the path was the moment that really sold me on them, I think. It was a smart unexpected move and they worked really well together doing it.
And Phil summoning the gardener to greet each team was HILARIOUS. Seriously, nobody in Delhi could take the afternoon off for this?
So the Frats or Terrence and Sarah Next and then the decision gets more difficult. Actually, if we get the elimination of T&S and the Frats then we'll have a final three of v. good teams.
On a completely shallow note: the shot of Dallas's arms when they were running with the local kids just took my breath away! Yum!!!

seriously! And then his mom talking about how proud she is of the man he's become made me tear up.
I don't really like the sibs but they are racing well and they seem to be having a great time.
I could get on board with the sibs a lot more if they would just freaking stop talking about how they "have a target on their back" and how people are "gunning for" them. Um, NO! Also, shut up.
I forgot to mention that also the power lines number judge guy was HILARIOUS.

Oh god yes. He might have been my favorite part of the whole ep.
Yes, he was EXCELLENT.
Hee. He totally rocked it! I loved him.
However, the rest of the show was hey, let's trample on other people's religions, so I was not at all sad to see the divorcees go. Their own stupid got them.
Team Your Cheating Heart has not grown on me, although D. likes them for helping the frat boys. (Who knows how long they'd have been there without the help?) I was still pissed at her for cursing at the revelers. (Although this was assuaged somewhat since I realized that she was not the one actually doing the challenge and just got caught in the periphery, which she acknowledged later.) C'mon people, get in the spirit of things. But then, I probably spend more of my time covered in paints and running around with a bunch of screaming people than most. So my tolerance level might be higher.
Terence was like that too, violently shoving people out of his way who were just standing there at that point. Asshole. He was just looking for a chance to do stuff like that. OH, and miss "no respect for the EXTREME SUFFERING he was witnessing," cry me a river. Did the fact that he was the boss not ping with you at all? That people do this all day every day for a living? Possibly it could trickle through your thick skull that your suffering is momentary and not everyone's is? Yeah, next off, please.
Still hate Nick & Starr and their "little white lies." Please. You're so transparent. Nobody cares about you! But it was smart of them to work together with Dallas & mom once they realized they were both on to it.
Speaking of whom, I think it's telling that they're having such a good time on their run. That they're the ones who are running along with the kids and just enjoying the heck of themselves. To see them interact with the people around them with respect is a refreshing change. And as a result, they have a better experience.
