I didn't even realize which one had won until I went to Project Rungay just now -- I thought it was the other dress with all the belt action!

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
The corset top wouldn't have been nearly as bad if it had been longer.
I knew from the get go that Blayne's idea of shorts would not work. Shorts are not "day to night". Hell, they're not even day. I'm surprised that Brooke picked it. I sense the hand of the producers.
I liked Jerrell and Stella's outfit. I wouldn't have worn it, but I thought it was good, fit well, well made, stylish, but still professional. They worked well together.
I thought that Korto's outfit was eh. I'm glad that they took in the jacket. The dress did not fit well, though. I also am starting to dislike Joe. He seems like a whiner and a wimp. He didn't voice his opinion until he had some backing from Tim.
I liked Tim putting Kenley in her place with the hideous fabric. At least she admitted it.
I didn't mind Keith's outfit, but I liked Jerrell's better. I do think that Keith's outfit was better for the show/character. Jerell's outfit is a little too edgy for the character. It could have been worn by either of the other two, though.
FTR, I liked Cashmere Mafia a lot better than Lipstick Jungle. A lot of it was my girl crush on Juliet Draper, though.
I thought the dress under Korto's jacket was rather illfitting. And Terri's shirt/pants combo was also eh.
The only reason Jerrell's dress didn't win was Brooke not liking that belt, I think.

I think that you may be right about that. I actually liked it, and I'm usually anti that sort of thing.

Ugh! YES! it was terrible.
Jerrell's was my favorite. And I loved the way he & Stella worked together! Nice use of her strengths. er...strength
I liked Jerrell's, too. I'm just getting caught up now (thank you, one million repeats!) so I'm only now getting to know the designers. But I really liked the way Jerrell pumped up Stella after she was picked last, and furthermore really did use her skill, to his advantage.
Korto's dress was awful. There was one point where it gaped and if you'd been standing next to the model you'd have gotten an eyeful. But I liked her overall idea, I just wish she'd executed it better.
I liked Keith's outfit okay, but it wasn't really my taste. Somehow Jerrell's wasn't my taste either, but I liked it. The only thing I'm worried about with him is how he was all, it's my thing about the little bits of fabric. I hope we're not doomed to a whole season of little bits of fabric like Rami's draping.
But I liked her overall idea, I just wish she'd executed it better.
This has been my general feeling about Korto all season.

World of yes. It gaped horribly.
I liked Keith's dress the best. I liked the shape and I really liked the skirt. The sleeves were meh.
I liked the shape of Jerrell's dress, but it was too busy for me.
Shorts for a high powered business exec?? Hells no. I wear bermuda shorts to work but that's because a) I'm a middle school teacher, b) I teach a subject where I move a lot, and 3) my school is freakin' un-air conditioned.
I would have never worn bermuda shorts at my old job and you could get away with that sort of thing in marketing, but not as a department head. And certainly not as a CEO. Although, now that I think about it, our CEO did wear a bermuda short suit to work a few times.
Seriously. Bermuda short is neither day nor night, and beyond that, it wasn't all that great. I keep wanting to like him, because I like a risk taker, but he's gotta show me something. Liked the top, though.
Oh, and I forgot to say that about Keith's dress, I really liked how the day to night conversion was done. It wasn't just a take-off-the-jacket switch, it was a really clever change that did make it look different.
I really liked Keith's dress. And I think Michael was right -- as a pairing, he and Kenley really kept each other in check.
Blayne's look might have worked if the shorts weren't khaki, which just never says "night" to me, and if the top pieces were more special. As it was, it looked like three fairly blah pieces you could pick up at any mall.
