Art Crawl!!!

Isn't FLN owned by the same folks as FN? Or is it that FN is owned by the people that own HGTV not the people who own FN?

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I am inconsolable over the SYTYCD results. Such a travesty. I think I'm more upset for Mark than I was for Danny last season. At least Danny made F4 (and maybe top 2 if you believe the order of elimination, which eh). It's criminal that Mark is out at top 6. Now I know how Pasha fans must've felt last year.

I am also really sad for the finale next week, because I think we are not even going to come close to the level of quality dancing that was on display last season. I was no fan of the Hunchback, but he turned it out in that Mandy Moore table dance with Sabra, and he and Danny were fire in Two Princes. What kind of pieces are they going to be able to set on Josh and Twitch? They can't just do hip hop all the time. And while Josh has shown that he can handle other styles, Twitch is sooooo limited. Bleagh.

Katee FTW, I say.

ETA: I thought I'd be more broken up about Chelsie going out, but I'm surprisingly OK with it. I really like Courtney. Have done since I saw her in the audition round with her adorable grandparents. And she's a beautiful dancer with great technique and a lot of power (if sometimes a little affected)

Yeah, I thought Mark should have stayed, too. I was about even with Chelsie and Courtney, they're equally strong in their own ways. Courtney has better technique over more styles, but Chelsie is the better actress. I'll watch next week, because I do want to vote and see who wins, but it hasn't got me as cranked up as last year did.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

From the Emily interview -

Okay, I don't think she should have gone home. The other girl was much worse, and frankly I thought the winning design was being called out as part of the bottom three.

However.

"Have you watched the show much" is followed by one of those uber-annoying comments about not having a tv and going out to see art and stuff with friends who do something.

Annoying.

Then, talking about how hard Mood is to navigate and how New Yorkers have an advantage:

Obviously if I lived in New York I would have done my homework, but I don’t.

Really? You couldn't come to the city a day early to figure out a key locale? You'd have done your homework like you did by [not] watching some freaking DVDs to figure out the what on the show and the judges?

Not enough whatever in the world.

[That said - Suede works at Mood? You'd think that would come up.]

Because books.

I thought she meant (whoever she said) lived in the city and Suede worked there, meaning the *city* not Mood. But you could be right.

I lost a bit of love for her with the TV comment, yeah. Holier than thou is never attractive.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

If I was ever auditioning for PR, I would be spending a lot of time at Mood, getting to know the stock and the personnel, so that when I was in a hurry, I knew where I was going and people liked me and wanted to help me.

I don't know if you'd get the chance to go to Mood but I'd certainly find some dvds or watch a couple of PR marathons before coming on the show. It's foolish to be so unprepared and yeah, an actual reality show participant has no right to be so holier-than-thou.

I'd never really thought about it before, but this is one of the few reality shows where you actually could scope out a key piece of the challenge ahead of time (well, I suppose Top Chefs could hang out at Whole Foods)- I can't imagine not doing so. I wonder what the other contestants did or didn't do with that.

Just finished watching the winner of NFNS. He was a decent presenter, but his food wasn't perfect. He burned some of the chicken, as well as the pork, and his oven fries didn't get crispy. I wonder if they didn't want to spend the money to reshoot it.
