'Til we dance away...

Oh, and was I the only one who thought Korto's "fin" dress looked like a toy rocket ship?

Art Crawl!!!

Bwahahahaha!

I agree that Wesley should have incorporated some of the green colored material. I didn't think that they looked that bad together and it might have helped him for overworking that satin.

Daniel and Wesley - now did we see Wesley making Daniel's bed in the episode? (I can't recall who was doing what.)

I agree with a lot of what Kat said about SYTYCD--I was surprised to actually like Courtney's solo last night. And I think Chelsie really is often amazing, but that disco sucked ASS, and the judges really showed their bias ALL OVER THE PLACE by not saying so. Normally I adore Joshua, but that was just not good, especially compared to their tango earlier, and also when I thought about Will's disco earlier in the season, and all I remember about it was that it wasn't great, but I remember him SELLING it--how he just looked so natural doing the cheesy cheesy disco moves. And how Joshua didn't even have that, in the midst of the hot mess that was the rest of it. He was not committed.

Meanwhile, they had such a hate on for Mark that they ignored how he looked really great in the solo parts of the foxtrot, even if in the closed hold bits he did not. Sigh. I was very disappointed by Mark's solo, though--I've seen the YouTube, I know he can do better! What the heck? I thought the solos in general were uninspiring last night, even from people who've done the DoD pretty well in weeks past.

I mean, if you perform to Celine Dion, I am automatically disposed to hate it.

Why IS there so much Celine Dion on this show? I know in Season 2 she was one of the prizes (er, being in her show or whatever), but that's not still part of is, so WTF, show???

I did like Katee's part of the Mia dance, though--I didn't think Twitch had to DANCE in it, but Katee did, some. And I thought she was good. But I agree that the Broadway was ass. Other than the Godspell number, I've hated all of Tasty's Broadway numbers. I was so shocked by the Godspell one, and ever since then, I keep hoping, and keep being disappointed!

I agree that Mark is probably more versatile than Twitch, but I think we'd have to see Twitch dance with Chelsie to some ballroom to really be fair to see? But I suspect he wouldn't do as well, even with a good partner. Even still, I love me some Twitch, AND some Mark. Preferably Mark in a suit.

Yes, I remember that. "Because I'm a good friend"

Is Chelsie's soloing pretty much par for the course for the ballroom folks on the show? Because it sucks. If they make them solo in their genre I can see how it would be weird to dance partnerless. Since we've seen her dance other genres and know her technique is good it seems she could throw in at least a few other moves without going against the genre thing, right?

They do seem to make them solo in their own genre, and the ballroom folks do seem to have a tough time with it. There have been some exceptions. Last season Pasha was a better solo-er than his ballroom partner, Anya.

And Mark is safe! You could even see how blown away he was. Weird shit. Hey, I'm happy Mark is safe, but, damn.
