I thought that looked spontaneous.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think that Joshua and Katee are the strongest couple. Will is an incredibly strong dancer, literally and figuratively (those thighs!!!!!), and I think that Jessica drags him down.

I'd love to see Will and Katee do contemporary.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

me too, flea.

I would also like to see Mark and Jessica paired up. I think that would be an interesting mix. Maybe Mark and Courtney.

Just watched it, and have to agree on so much stuff. I really really wish they would switch out the partners sooner. Because there are so many people who would have such a different time if they had switched earlier.

Barring a huge upset, I think Thayne and Comfort are going home tomorrow.

I can't imagine who else would.

I felt like Mia veered from honest and truthful to being just overly harsh, as the judging went on. Because (a) there's no way Comfort isn't going home tomorrow. Lighten up. And (b) Jessica is already going to get a new partner other than Will, if she makes it to the top ten, so you don't need to go on and on about how he's tired supporting her and needs a new partner. Damn. We get it already.

I can't wait for them to all have to dance with new people. Can you imagine Gev and Jessica?

The problem I'm having is that I don't especially like any of the girls. I'm finding Katee is working for me quite a lot, and Chelsie I'm not hating on much, but none of them are really making me go "Ooooh!" So I am not especially looking forward to the pairings of the boys with any of them, other than in terms of BAD pairings.

Do the judges hate Mark? That makes me sad, cause I love him. Him and Will and Joshua, though I can tell Joshua isn't as good a dancer, obviously, he's still awesomecakes.

Do the judges hate Mark?

I don't think they hate him, I just don't think they believe he should win and so their comments are framed to make sure he doesn't get so popular that he takes a top 4 spot from someone they think should be there.

I think there's a disconnect with the judging and watchers' opinions because the judges actually watch them all week, talk to each other, and don't form their opinions from watching the one routine we get to see.

I can't remember how it goes - how long do they keep the gender balance? Once they get to top 10 they remix couples, but do they eliminate 1 boy and 1 girl every week right up the the final 4, and then pick the winner? It feels like the boys are much deeper right now.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

flea - yes.

the balance goes until the final 4. then they eliminate one by one until the winner is announced.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tom and Lorenzo from Project Rungay are doing Shear Genius: [link] I guess I'll keep watching, but I have got to stop watching live! It is not nearly good enough for past my bedtime.

Oh, SYTYCD. Biting off of the Boogie Bots' routine on ABDC? How the mighty have fallen.

Comfort got the weave tightened up. That is off the good.

I don't think they hate him, I just don't think they believe he should win and so their comments are framed to make sure he doesn't get so popular that he takes a top 4 spot from someone they think should be there.

So very much this. And I hate it. Nigel is the master of pimp-dom, both here and on AI. I hope Mark can overcome it.

ETA: Whew. And that was some very selective editing of the judges' comments for Mark and Chelsie.

EETA: Alvin Ailey Dancers!! There are no words. Wow. Wow.
