"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

He has done one group number so far - but we need him back, don't we?

In theory, I like the idea of introducing new blood into the choreographer pool, but NappyTab just are not quality hip hop choreographers. They do video/pop choreo which is fine (and I've liked some of it) but not really hip hop. They need to bring back Dave Scott. His choreography is amazing. And I was actually glad to see Cicely and Olisa come back (though, please don't let them judge). They have a nice flow to their work. I really wish they'd let some of the past hip hoppers choreo. I thought Dom and Hawk's group was really good and obviously they know how to put a routine together.

I did like the new BowWowWow woman. I thought the Kourtni/Matt routine rocked.

I think I could like her, I just dislike Khourtni and Matt so much that it was hard for me to tell! :)

See, for me these two are just too milquetoast even to hate. They are just there. They have lovely technique, Matt moreso than Kourtni. I think she dances very heavy, no lift. But they are both so boring. They never get all the way into character, though again Matt came close in the Top 18 dance. He was very Old Hollywood glamour and got pretty close to that "happy feet" feel. So yeah, they are both just pleasant dancers who are obviously well trained and pick up choreography well. But they just have no spark, no charisma.

Yeah, there are other people I would rather see go home first. Like Jessica, and Thayne. I'm kinda starting to like Matt. I don't hate him. I'm just not a fan. And since there are many people (Twitch, Will, Joshua, Mark....) I AM a fan of, it's just not worth the energy!

I have also decided that I love Mark as a dancer, but I don't really want him to speak. He brings a maturity and intensity to his dancing that isn't apparent with many of the other dancers.

Interview with Shane - not particularly long. He talks about ABDC and SYTYCD

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

KS: I have to ask one more So You Think You Can Dance question and then we'll go back to Dance Crew. Are you going to be judging this season or choreographing for the couples?
SS: No problem. Actually, no. I can't do anything visual. They can't show my face at all. If you noticed, when my choreography was done -- Give it up for Shane Sparks! And they didn't show me. Did you notice that?

Huh.

'Cause if you think about it, the first winner of So You Think You Can Dance, what did he do? You know what I mean?

It always makes me sad how much TPTB just crap all over S1. It's not like Benji has become a huge movie star or Sabra's in every other video out there. Nick has capitalized on winning SYTYCD as much as any of them have, teaching and choreographing and giving master classes and workshops at NYCDA, Jump, etc. Like most dancers do. These shows, whether it be ABDC or SYTYCD, are never going to create AI level stars. Dude, show S1 some love.

Heck, I even have love for S1 host Lauren Sanchez and eagerly await her turning up in about 5 more years on the latest VH-1 celeb reality train wreck and continuing that grand, Dunkelman-ian tradition.
