BURBANK - June 16, 2008 - Television and radio comedian Adam Carolla, champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust, and TV construction guru Eric Stromer, will lead NBC’s pilot of the international smash hit series “Top Gear.” The production will begin later this week.

Especially the way she pulled a Spike and Bogarted all the cayenne pepper in the store.

Oh and Design Star - as amusing as the idea of them building their own house was - it is a bit of a relief that they only had to work with an established space.

I don't know about an American Top Gear--the best part of the British one is the interaction between the three co-hosts, and I can't see them reproducing that with that trio. Who knows, maybe they will, but I doubt it.

I want the show to do well for the sake of my 2009 bonus, but I'm seriously skeptical about Adam Corolla as American Jeremy Clarkson.

Actually, I was rather surprised at how likable Corolla was on a oneshot home makeover show he did for HGTV a year or so ago. And, he's supposedly a big gearhead, so he might be able to convey enthusiasm for the show's topic. Also, I liked Eric Strohmer on Clean Sweep, so that's two out of three I'm familiar with.
