James Durbin/Living for the City/Stevie Wonder – You know, there are other Motown artists besides Stevie and Smokey. And they’re giving this fool a live band? Well, fuck. You know, he can sing. I have to give this twitchy fool his due. It’s just so not at all my thing. At all. I don’t like him. I don’t like his voice. Just no. And ewww. And ugh. And no. But he’s good. That was a well sung rendition of that song. He was in the pocket. The whole time, Randy. The song was the right choice. The vocal was beyond solid. Could not hate this fool more.

Thia (always until she goes home), Paul (See: Thia), and Casey (though it pains me, he wasn’t good)

That's hilarious, brenda! Naima did really well this week.
Well, that was an unexpected boot on AI. I mean, I did have Casey in my B3, but I never thought he'd be booted ahead of the likes of Paul and Thia and Haley. Also kind of surprised that the judges used the save on him, but I'm glad that's done with and everything is now in the hands of voting public.
Random Thoughts: Who is voting for Thia and how can we make them stop? Of course James is a WWE fan. And he wasn't even cute with Hulk Hogan. Bleagh. Hate that fool. JLo and Steven Tyler rocking out to Stevie Wonder was super cute. JLo is dominating the judging this season. Steven Tyler has become all but useless. That's sad because he was dynamite in the audition rounds. This season's kids are the worst bunch of group singers they've ever had on the show. There are lots of good voices in the group but they really do not blend well at all. At all. JHud looked amazing but her new song sucks tremendous amounts of ass. These 11 kids are going to make for a very boring tour indeed. Casey freaking out after he got saved was the realest thing he's ever done on this show. I hope he listens to JLo's advice and really brings it next week. No more growling or weird, snarly faces. No more smug, too cool for school-ness. What happened to the kid who stood with just an upright bass and that gorgeous voice and sang the hell out of Georgia On My Mind? Bring him back next week and we can get rid of Thia and likely Paul or Haley and wouldn't that be lovely?
