I couldn't believe that pack of teams were so unfamiliar with the idiom that they couldn't make the leap once they had most of the message.
I'm not sure the cowboys have even figured out that there's a message at all yet.
Here's hoping Keisha and Jen took lots of swimming lessons before they took on this season.
Doesn't sound like it.
I love that the clues/tasks so far seem like actual challenges. I wonder if there's a similar dynamic to what we're seeing on the current Top Chef - as you say, they've all come in to this having cleared the competence bar, so the show is able to step things up to really challenge them.
I'm so happy that TAR is back I just don't even know. And so far the only people I am completely unhappy with are Margie and Luke. I barely remember Amanda and Chris (but I'm down for anytime I can hear Phil say "Amanda") and I wasn't in love with the cheerleaders, but they weren't terrible. And there are so many people back to love. The Cowboys and Justin and Zev and Flight Time and Big Easy and Kent and Vixen. Heck, I was even mostly glad to see Jen and Kisha back and the Cristina part of Ron and Cristina at least. And actual challenges that are not just "Go here. Do this. Now get in this car and drive." Good times.
What kat said!
Amanda & Chris - I remember Phil saying their team name, but nothing about them as people. I have a feeling they were in a season with a bunch of other forgettable blonde girl/jock teams.
Saveur Magazine gives Stephanie Izard's new(ish) restaurant a glowing review.
Yay! I'm going there on Friday.
We want a restaurant report!!!
There are so many places I'd love to go, but reservations for that one are so hard to get. I'm still hoping to get to Bayless's Xoco, and I'll eventually get myself to Alinea when I can afford the $200+ tab.
Oh, yes - full restaurant report!
Man, that review made me hungry! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on your visit, brenda!
Okay, I know I'm sick and feverish and headachey, but I never expect Idol to make me cry.
::clutches tissues::
I think I love Phillip from Survivor, is that wrong?
Also John Besh and Gulf seafood on Top Chef! I'm in heaven.
(ETA: GNOF is one of our funders too!)
Whoa. Did not see that coming giving the focus of the ep.
