giraffe mode

I loved that the beef tongue song was in 3 parts so they could all sing one part. I was laughing so hard. Also? Jimmy Fallon was pretty cute all the way thru with his fanboy-ishness.

Punishingly Intricate

The beef tongue song made me like Angelo.

Because books.

The beef tongue song was awesome. Total money on it being Carla's idea.

Jimmy Fallon was pretty cute all the way thru with his fanboy-ishness.

So cute! "Taste your food, you have to taste your food!" Clearly a huge fan of the show.

Also, I really wish I could have tried some of those fondues.

Thrive to spite them

Jimmy Fallon was a great guest judge. And Carla winning was so great - I was pretty sure she had it when everyone was eating and Colicchio was hunched over his bowl to busy eating to critique.

And the geek out between Carla and Jimmy about the crust on the bottom was great.

I wish Dale had gone home but I understood Fabio getting cut - Dale's dish was oversalted, but Fabio failed on the execution of the main part of the dish. The cheese sauce may have lost him points too.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I was so happy that Carla won! And I did enjoy Jimmy Fallon and his Top Chef fan geekery. I was sad to see Fabio go but meat loaf is not the same as a good juicy burger, no? And curdled cheese sauce is just nobody's friend.

I'm rooting so hard for Carla to take it all. Of course, that means someone like Mike I. will win.

AI: Haven't seen any of it. I was away at a conference conferencing. But I did miss it, which is a good sign.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man! I saw a preview for tonight's Top Chef that said something like the elimination was surprising and/or upsetting or something, so I've kind of been watching with my heart in my throat. And I guess it's surprising and/or upsetting for the cheftestants, but I am SO RELIEVED.
