Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
But both of the heads of the teams picked the women last. That pissed me off considering how well the women who remain have been doing!
Seriously! The person (Carla) who won the last elimination challenge got picked dead last. WTF?
Angelo is way more sympathetic.
Definitely. I actually felt bad for him last night-- "Yes, I know this is going to be a clusterfuck of massive proportions, but I don't have the social skills to fix it, so I'll just be over here in the corner with my head down."
He did try - but then Marcel just snapped at him.

He was great. "Don't yell at my servers."
I thought it was great that the judges acknowledged what a fantastic job Fabio was doing managing his servers.
One thing I've remembered is that Carla's experience isn't restaurant based - this may be why she did so poorly in her first Restaurant Wars and why she was picked last this time despite her wins.

I was confused about what thread I was in and got this image of the long-haired romance novel cover model working in campus IT.

I know Bourdain, for one, has mentioned in his writings how much he hates dealing with front of the house stuff, so I think there's a lot of respect for someone who can do it well, and pull off a really good dessert on top of it.
