"We have trust issues." Mylar

I really think only OTR and Streetcorner Symphony adhered closely to the guilty pleasure code. Kyrie and Come On, Eileen? I'll give you that. Easy is by no means a guilty pleasure. That's a straight up R&B classic. You Make My Dreams Come True is a great pop song (as is Love Shack). I know anything BSB qualifies as a guilty pleasure for some, but I Want It That Way was an absolute smash and stayed number one on the pop charts forever and ever. And it's an awesome song. Then again, I have BSB blinders. What I'm saying is, it's no Kyrie.

Because books.

"Easy" is, for me, AM radio in my mom's car when I was a kid. I love that song.

Because books.

I have the HUGEST music crush on Streetcorner Symphony tonight. Pure love. And man, did the judges ever pick the right song for them.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Seriously. Jeff is so over people not bothering to play the game.

Top Chef totally made up for last week with two excellent challenges. Except the eliminations were kind of BS.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Except the eliminations were kind of BS.

You think? Stephen was like, "Yeah, I don't really cook anymore... but this was fun!" And at least now there's just the one Dale? Still two Tiffan(y)(i)s, though.

Yeah, but Tiffani? With that mess?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Well, they judges both said that Dale's and Stephen's were really awful to eat. It seemed like Tiffani's and Fabio's were at least edible, just not very good.

Because books.

The Sing-Off: Liese, all four remaining groups wound up moving to the finale in a totally staged surprise! announcement.

First they did icons/superstars -- Streetcorner Symphony did the Beatles and Jerry Lawson and Talk of the Town did Otis Redding. The Backbeats did Gaga, and Committed did Usher.

Then each group was given a song chosen by the judges, which worked really well. Committed did Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," Streetcorner did Credence's "Down on the Corner," Talk of the Town did "House of the Rising Sun," which was really great, and the Backbeats (I thought) completely mangled "Landslide."
