I felt like there was some weird Daddy dynamic at work with Jen- like after her season she got mentally beat up by a parent or parental figure about her waning confidence so she came out this season ballistic and guns-ablazing.
I think Tiffani was just trying to cover her ass with her team and the judges with that crazy talk. She certainly assumed, but was dumb to do so. That said, I would have loved to see Tom C. mention her remarkable change in attitude toward the kids between her season and this one.
Yes, that would have been good. I also enjoyed the people who got a kick out of spending the night in a museum.
Jen's behavior appalled me. There's defending your work and there's being rudely arrogant, and I thought she was the latter. Plus really dismissive and snarky of the other team.
Did you all hear about the contest they ran in Chicago (I thing just for teachers) where the winner got to spend an entire month living in the Museum of Science and Industry? Too cool.
The Sing-Off: This show is killing me! The second bracket was brutal! They were all so, so good! I really hope they do away with the brackets next week. Love, love, love Committed and Streetcorner Symphony. Groove for Thought is pretty phenomenal as well.
Top Chef: Jen's behavior was so surprising. I was sad to see her acting like that especially considering she was my favorite.
Sing-off is worth watching just to see the complete meltdown Shawn has every time Committed sings. It's a thing of beauty.
Also, his hair terrifies me, but I love Ben Folds Five.
I agree. Committed is really an excellent group. I thought their performance was just wonderful.
flea, I was just going to write that I would love to get my shears on Ben Folds. There is no reason his hair needs to look like that.
No reason.
I swear I tried to tune in for Sing-Off, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what time it's on. I suck at this non-Tivo thing. I need to get my damned box in to a phone line.
It says, 8/7c. That usually means 8 Eastern and delayed to 8 Pacific, right? And 7 Central, and Damn You, Mountain. And of course, Arizona is none of those, but it's sometimes Mountain and sometimes Pacific. Right now it's Mountain. So it should have been 9, because I generally get West Coast delays? But it wasn't on then. So maybe it was 6? But last time I tuned in at 6 and it wasn't on for two more hours! So that would have made it 8 my time, which makes no sense, unless I was getting my own special Mountain delay? In which case it should have still been on when I tuned in at 9, because it's two hour? Right?
Argh. This is why I can't watch television.
I watched it this morning on the NBC Web site
Yeah, I don't have the bandwidth. Pout.
