Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Art Crawl!!!

Perhaps the judges figured that he'd made the most changes, i.e., from not cooking that dish to cooking it whereas Elia made changes that were almost indecypherable.

I was a little surprised at how arrogant Jen came across.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

So much reality TV last night! I can't with Survivor. I'm glad NaOnka is gone and was Purple Kelly ever really there? But seriously, I never thought I'd be pining for the days of Osten.

On ANTM, I knew as soon as the Covergirl beauty shot photographer labeled Chelsey "commercial" that she was toast. Tyra and ALT were bound and determined to get their high fashion, editorial girl this year and that's just what they did. I like Anne, but she'll only ever be a print model, and a very specific type of print model at that. Her walk in that Cavalli show was painful. And the crazy, bucked out eyes. Just wrong. The girl does take a gorgeous photo, though.

On TC:AS, I am so excited! I would watch a whole season of Anthony Bourdain and Fabio fighting. I felt badly for Elia because she seemed so, so sad and I do think she's a better chef than what she was able to show, but I knew she was in trouble when she started off insisting that there was nothing wrong with her original dish and she planned to basically do the same thing she did before plus bacon. Ummm, no. So clearly you want to go home again, right? I was rooting for Blais during his season and I'll root for him again, although it was awfully nice to see Tre and Carla back on my TV screen and I wouldn't mind if either of them won. I could've done without Dale, Spike, and Mike I.

Because books.

I really like Elia, too, but I have to say I'm glad she went instead of Fabio.

I can't stand Mike I. Loathed him in his season, and I doubt that's going to change.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Survivor was maddening, but involving. DH and I were so ticked at Naonka not giving up the reward that we were both yelling at the screen.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I envy ALT his caftans ... and he wears them well.

I can't believe Naonka and Kelly still get to be on the jury. They really need to make a rule about that. If someone quits, they should be out of the game entirely.

ANTM: I'm fine with Ann wining. Yes, she's still rough around the edges, but she did improve over the season and it looked like she took direction well. I think she's their best chance to be a breakout model.

So, I'm watching Top Chef from last night, and all I can think is "damn, a lot of people gained a lot of weight"

Hee.

They are chefs, after all.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

So, I'm watching Top Chef from last night, and all I can think is "damn, a lot of people gained a lot of weight"

I had the same thought.

I liked the first episode of TC:AS. The problem with the season for me is that there may be too many villians, and too many people I really like instead of the usualy couple of each with a lot of people I find boring somewhere in the middle.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Heh. I find that to be a feature, not a bug.
