Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
If that shit is really happening, show it.
Definitely. If it's an editorial choice not to, I don't get it.
Did you guys catch this week's No Reservations? Ripert and Bourdain in Paris!
ION, looks like this week isn't it for this season of Top Chef - apparently, it's only part 1 of the finale. Sigh.
More importantly, Ripert speaking lots and lots of French!
Yes, indeed.
Top Chef: I don't love any of the chefs left, but Angelo I would really like to punch in the face. Blech.
Oh! I saw Ed and Richard Blaise as Cat Cora's sous chefs in an Iron Chef I saw over the weekend. Battle Oat, I think.
I saw that! Well, the first half. We still have to watch the judging. Which I should do when Top Chef is over, come to think of it.
I'm watching top model in my hotel room tonight because I can? But I'm not sure I'll watch the season--seriously, once other shows get started, I may not have time, or space on the TiVo!
I just kind of feel sorry for Angelo anymore.
Nice to see a (near) finale where it doesn't look like anyone's going over a screw-up or bad luck. (Though Ed did his best to change that.) I really don't know who the judges will cut.
