Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just don't understand how the satin bodice with lace top and sleeves isn't an 80's prom look.

Because books.

That was my thought, Jesse. The client wanted it, not him, but then Nina actually complimented the sleeves! Which I thought needed to be at least shorter or capped or something, if they had to be there at all.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I, er, liked the original bridesmaid dress so I don't feel I can weigh in on the 80s-ness of the sleeves.

I liked Mondo's dress but it just needed a tiny bit more 60's "mod" to make the styling work better. Christopher's dress was a vast improvement but oh that color was just ugh! (I am not a fan of that shade of green at all) Michael C's dress was OK but I didn't love the bodice at all and it was waaaay too short.

My dislike of Ivy and Gretchen is making me not want to watch any longer. My daughter said last night that they made Irina, Jeffery and Kenley look kind in comparison.

Oh my god, yes. They're so mean girl cliquey, it's just gross.

What I'd love to know is if Tim has ever called anyone out like that before, and we just never saw it due to time constraints (and this season having the extra half hour to fill). Then I think, surely they would have *made* time for that, because it's such good TV and so unexpected, so yay, Gretchen! You're the first person Tim Gunn ever identified as the villain!

What a dubious distinction.

I'm sure that they would have made time for that because it seems like Tim is not the sort of person to do that out of nowhere. Even during the whole "Jeffery's cheating" thing he seemed even tempered and reasonable.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

The image of Gretchen, Ivy and Kevin(?) sitting on the sofa with the same defensive posture and sour grapes expression is burned into my brain. You can tell they're thinking that they're right and the judges are wrong.

I would love to see that little clique turn on itself.

Dudes, there's new Top Model this week! I don't know if I can bear it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OMG you guys will have to try it and see if I watch. I usually cannot handle the squealing.
