Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Amy, 100% agreeance.

Comcast screwed me over tonight and only recorded one damn minute of SYTYCD. Can I see the ep online somewhere, and is it worth it to search it out? Did I screw my Best of DVD up completely by missing tonight?

Kathy,

I don't know what to tell you. I wasn't thrilled with the dances tonight, but perhaps someone less grouchy can chime in.

If you need help locating the ep, give me a holler.

Aw, I really enjoyed it! I thought there were a few really well done pieces tonight. And they were all enjoyable to me.

back atcha!

Amy, I knew someone less grumpy would chime in. I was really bothered by the judges interactions with the contestants. I don't feel like they were being genuine and seemed to have an agenda the whole time.

Are these three the best dancers across any season? WTF?

This is only my second season, so I thought that was the sort of "joy of the moment" thing that gets said, you know? I do think the judging was sort of lovefesty, but it's not up to them anymore, and I do think they were honestly impressed with all three of them.

But I'm not very critical of the show, really. I just love the dancing, and I'm usually happily surprised by what they can pull off on just a week's rehearsal, especially as young as a lot of them are.

I'm pleased with the winner of WOA. I would have been pleased with either of the top two. There were some great pieces in Peregrine's collection, but I think that they thought that she needed some editing. Abdi's sculptures were amazing, I'm so glad he won.

I thought that Miles' work was tremendously boring. I like the concept, but I wished that he'd done more with it. Just blowing up the pictures really didn't do it for me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

No, I agree about the judging. I think they were still on Robert`s teat, even though I feel like he did a reasonably fine job tonight. I feel somehow like there was a lot of self-promotion this year, between the format and dizzyfeet and dance day and step up 3d. I just think it felt very self-involved.

To me none of the dances this year post-Alex made me point my toes in sympathetic urging for them to hit it so hard. Okay, good things: Mark, of course, and I think that Robert stood his ground pretty well. Lauren, pretty much across the board, probably with the exception of the Kent piece. Which I agree was too simple.

Just for the finale I wish it was good enough for some Mary Murphy squealing, but nothing was.

Yes, the piece was simple, but that was the choreographer's fault, wasn't it?
